Vote "NO" To Martin's Road Tax Tomorrow!

The Martin Chronicles doesn't care if you are a proud member of the Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Anarchists, Whigs, Know-Nothings, Bull Moose Party, Federalists, Anti-Federalists, Communists or Nazis (Sorry. But we really, really don't like the Communists or Nazis).

We don't care if you consider yourself a liberal, moderate, conservative, libertarian, or jihadist (Again, sorry. But we really, really don't like jihadists).

Your political beliefs are your political beliefs. Mainstream or wing nut. America is a free country. Vote straight ticket if that's what you want to do.

But please, please, P-U-H-L-E-A-S-E - don't buy into the flim-flammery being pushed by the likes of Mayor Mike Martin and Councilmen Jim Noll and Mike Pope.

VOTE "NO" ON MIKE MARTIN'S PROPOSED 40% PROPERTY TAX HIKE!!!

• If Martin was so desperate for your money, why did he double the number of clerks and build a new parking lot at the city building!
• If road repair was so important for the city, why didn't Martin have any significant work done this year?
• If the need for extra money for road repair was so legitimate, why did Martin, Noll and Pope engage in such deception to get you to vote "YES"?

This is serious stuff. Don't buy into the deceptive bill of goods being pushed by Martin, Noll and Pope. If they really knew what they were doing with YOUR money, we would see legitimate financial reports that made sense. And the one's posted on the city's website are completely inaccurate! Once again -
