Councilman Jim Noll is travelling the streets of Villa Hills telling people that a "YES" vote on next Tuesday's ballot initiative is a vote to repeal the $40 "sticker tax".
What Mr. Noll is telling people simply isn't true.
Unless you are one of the lucky 8% who live in a relatively inexpensive home and buy stickers for four or more cars, a "YES" vote RAISES YOUR CITY TAX BURDEN SIGNIFICANTLY. Your property tax rate will INCREASE BY FORTY PERCENT.
The Martin Chronicles believes the city's streets need to be maintained. We don't believe an ADDITIONAL $315,000 should be given to a mayor who has doubled the number of administrative personnel and built a new parking lot for the city building. What happened to spending restraint?
We also don't appreciate a councilman coming to our door misleading us about the purpose of next Tuesday's ballot initiative.
VOTE NO TO THE NEW CITY ROAD TAX NEXT TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH!
