Did Martin Meet With Special Counsel?

The Martin Chronicles asks you to think back to the media reportage following the April 30 Special Counsel presentation into their initial findings in to the misconduct and illegal activity of Villa Hills Mayor Mike Martin. What did Martin claim? He said their were several "inaccuracies" in Special Counsel's report. He also falsely claimed that he was not offered the opportunity to sit down with Phil Taliaferro's "company"(?).

Not surprisingly, Martin was simply spouting more lies. It was Martin himself who declined to talk to Special Counsel, citing that to do so was "not in his best interest" in a December email. But that specious claim was just another dishonest attempt to portray himself as some innocent victim of council members, who as the hand-wringing peaceniks put it, haven't "given Martin a chance".

The "Little Man From Norwood" has had to face and overcome so many obstacles. He said so in his "Unahandyman Manifesto". His biggest obstacle? His complete inability to tell the truth about anything ever. But what else should we expect from the con artist contractor?

As we posted on May 10, Special Counsel has extended another invitation for Martin to sit down with them to clear up the mayor's alleged "inaccuracies". Special Counsel wanted the meeting to occur before the council meeting and offered to videotape it to ensure that the record of Martin's answers were indisputable. Seems more than fair to us.

Martin has been shooting his mendacious mouth of for years. He has always been able to lie through his teeth with no one holding him accountable. Now, the Special Counsel has called Martin's deceitful bluff. A council member should ask Martin if he took Special Counsel up on the gracious offer. Martin certainly should have. Let's get those "inaccuracies" out on the proverbial table.

The beleaguered residents of Villa Hills have a right to know. We will be watching tonight.
