Villa Hills Campaign News And Notes

The Martin Chronicles staff has been all over town these past few days as we begin our coverage of the final three weeks (can you believe it?) of the campaign that we sincerely hope rids Villa Hills of the virulent cancer known as malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin. We very rarely pat ourselves on the back, but in this case, we have to. The election campaign is playing out exactly as we have been predicting.

Here is what's been happening:

• It is abundantly clear that even the mismanaging Martin realizes that he is a hugely unpopular public figure (imagine that?). Martin and Jimmy Vaden have been seen distributing a Martin flier in Amsterdam Village (Martin's "Alamo") that includes more whoppers than all of the Burger King's in the Tri-State area. The miasmic Martin is desperately trying to convince just enough low-attention voters that he really isn't the dishonest doofus that the majority of residents know he clearly is to eke out the narrowest, minority victory in a four-way mayoral race.
• The dishonest and incompetent Martin has put in writing that he had no choice but to ABJECTLY WASTE MORE THAN FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND TAXPAYER DOLLARS ON LAWYERS AND LEGAL FEES. This despite the fact that Martin has admitted under oath that he was too busy to do anything about this OBVIOUS WASTE OF TAXPAYER MONEY. What an idiot.
• Martin may have released his campaign calumny a tad bit prematurely. The little liar is going to be hammered with the truth about the past four years much closer to Election Day. By the way, no wonder Martin claims he "loves Villa Hills". Where else could he sign a purchase order that PUT MORE THAN TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND TAXPAYER DOLLARS IN TO HIS OWN DISHONEST POCKET WITHOUT GOING TO JAIL? 
• Totally unknown candidate Jennifer Yost-Vaden (the aforementioned Jimmy Vaden's wife) is completely banking on the 2014 election being a replay of the 2012 election. Inside (double-agent) sources have confirmed that Mary Koenig has convinced Yost-Vaden that low-information voters will absolutely jump at the chance to vote for unknown, female candidates, even if they have inexorably wrapped their arms around a leg of the law-breaking Mayor Mike Martin. Moving the city forward?
• The dishonest and incompetent Martin's "good old boy" slate of candidates (Berger, Yost-Vaden, Koenig and the "partician" Hilgeford have absolutely refused to participate in this Tuesday's city council town hall forum being held at Villa Madonna's theater. Our thoughts on why? Because they don't want to run the certain risk of revealing to even the low-information voters that "there is no "there" there.
• Martin's TAXPAYER-FUNDED GOOD OLD BOY GOON SQUAD is hard at work trying to save their over-paid, pathetic jobs. The man who received a TAXPAYER-FUNDED FIFTY-PERCENT PAY RAISE AND THEN TURNED AROUND AND PUT SOME OF THAT TAXPAYER-FUNDED PAY RAISE BACK IN TO THE DISHONEST MARTIN'S HANDYMAN POCKET-Craigory T. Bohman-recently sent out a TAXPAYER-FUNDED threatening letter to the opposing mayoral candidates, warning them that TAXPAYER-FUNDED CITY EMPLOYEES WOULD BEGIN REMOVING THEIR CAMPAIGN YARD SIGNS.
• Martin is crookedly hiding A MAJOR FINANCIAL PROBLEM FOR THE TAXPAYERS FROM LAST YEAR'S BUDGET. We have agreed to hold off our report on this MOST RECENT MARTIN LIE until this week's candidate events-that the mallet-headed Martin refuses to attend.

You see-despite what "interesting" people like Vaden, Koenig, Berger, Hilgeford, Wischer and a few other desperate fanatics others say, Martin is an incompetent crook. But it is ultimately up to the voters to rid the city of Martin's virulent cancer of incompetence and corruption.
