More Historical Revision

The Martin Chronicles is watching the final three weeks of the election campaign in malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's Villa Hills unfold before our very eyes. November 4 will be here very soon. There are bound to be many more twists and turns until then.

We are working hard to ignore all of the attention our blog continues to get. We are mindful of the fact that we have many fans and some detractors. But our only concern is to continue to report everything we discover about the corruption and incompetence of Martin and his good old boy network.

Martin is busily attempting to once again re-write the history of his last four, dreadful years in the mayor's office. The little fella really has no choice. The truth is not on Martin's side.
Twisting the truth is certainly nothing new for Martin. Think back to 2010. Martin said he was "happy to tell you that he wasn't suing you" (for $1.505 million) when no less an august legal body than the US Supreme Court opined that Martin was most decidedly happy to be suing you.

Martin also tried to make the false case that his Constitutional rights were violated when he as arrested for forgery in 2007. Well, four respected appellate judges subsequently opined that there was definitely probable cause for Martin's arrest and what he was doing "fit the very definition of forgery".

2014 is bringing us more of the same devious Martin historical revision. Martin wants you to think that the UNFAIR $40 PER CAR STICKER TAX is gone for good come January. He wants you to ignore the fact that the UNFAIR $40 PER CAR STICKER TAX may be going away. Or maybe it isn't If it does, it is only because Martin's pal-outgoing Judge Executive Steve Arlinghaus-announced that the county will no longer collect the fee. If it's gone, why are people still being billed for it?

Besides, Martin already "replaced" the UNFAIR $40 PER CAR STICKER TAX with a FIFTY PER CENT INCREASE IN THE SNEAKY INSURANCE PREMIUM TAX. Worse yet, the taxpayer revenue from that sneaky tax is not restricted for road repair and replacement. And, again, residents continue to be billed for the UNFAIR $40 PER CAR STICKER TAX. So, what's really going on?

Martin also wants you to suddenly believe that he is a huge supporter of the local police department. If that wasn't so dishonest, it would be hilarious. Most people know how Martin has been mistreating the local police department these past four years. Many of those people also understand the vengeful reason Martin has done so. Should we simply ignore the past four years and believe Martin's "deathbed (election year) conversion"? Of course not.

The puny potentate wants you to believe that he is some kind of managerial genius. Now that is hilarious. Remember, Martin admitted under oath that he never even took time out of his "busy schedule" to meet with former Police Chief Dan Goodenough before squandering a couple of hundred thousand taxpayer dollars to railroad Goodenough in an ugly, public spectacle. Martin's rationale for his abject lack of leadership? He "only get's paid $200 a month as mayor". Remember, that does not include the more than $23,000 he paid himself with your money.

Enough is enough.
