WEEKENDER II: You Gotta Pick A Side

The Martin Chronicles has spent a great deal of time today furiously digging in to the current commotion in Villa Hills over malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's pernicious plot to eliminate the final person he incorrectly blames for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST-and we say incorrectly because four respected judges have soundly ruled that what Martin did fit the "very definition of FORGERY"-Police Chief Dan Goodenough. While Eddie and Donna, Sharon, General Zod, Too Fat Tony, Joe Seeameasigntosteal, Summer Berger, Dave Hilgeford, Holly Isenhour-Menninger, Brian Wischer and, of course, the vile Mary Koenig probably continue to whisper sweet nothings into Martin's ear encouraging him to continue, a growing segment of the City's population is enraged by Martin's latest gambit.

How easy is this?

• Martin is a DISHONEST lowbrow hillbilly who self-admittedly earned his chops STEALING on the streets of Norwood, Ohio. Soon-to-be-former Police Chief Dan Goodenough is the son of a respected jurist and a loving mother who both worked very hard to forge their close-knit family.
• Martin has run and continues to run an ILLEGAL handyman operation, scamming people with what has been described as "shoddy-at best" effort. Soon-to-be-former Police Chief Dan Goodenough has devoted his professional energies to work with solid people like Corky Brown to building the Villa Hills Police Department in to the respected agency it used to be.
• Martin spends most of his time finding scapegoats to blame to cover-up for his obvious shortcomings. Soon-to-be-former-Police Chief Dan Goodenough has the undeniable courage to stand up against Martin's undeniable LAWLESSNESS.

Sure, we almost understand Martin's razor-thin 2010 mayor election. He was able to sling just enough bogus mud to eek out a narrow victory over a mostly quiet but very competent incumbent mayor. We also understand how-after years of Martin's and his wife Janet's LIES-he was able to force former Assistant Chief Joe Schutzman out of his job.

But the travesty of coercing Dan Goodenough out is a different story. All Goodenough has done over the past twenty-five years is work his butt off for Villa Hills. And this is the reward Martin gives Goodenough?

Our investigative reporters have also learned that when reasonable people learn the full details of the appalling actions of the mendacious Martin, Martin's personal-and now TAXPAYER-FUNDED-City Attorney Toad V. McMurtry, Martin's City Clerk and ersatz-City Administrator Craig T. Bohman and Martin's mostly-supplicant "golden moment" City Council, they will want to tear down Martin's City Building brick by brick. It has been a classic "railroading" from the jump. We absolutely intend to provide all of those details.

It's time for the reasonable people of Villa Hills to pick a side. We think the choice is more than crystal clear.
