So Long, Danny

The Martin Chronicles sincerely hopes people remember the spectacle of these last two-plus weeks in March when they head to the polls in November. We intend to do everything we can to make sure they do. We also know that there are other citizen groups who will do the same.

What is that spectacle? The people of Villa Hills-and the entire Tri-State-have seen the deceit and abuse of power of Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin and his cronies on full display before the cameras of the local media.

Police Chief Dan Goodenough is retiring after more than twenty-seven years of service to the residents of the once-proud City of Villa Hills in exchange for Martin dropping all of his bogus charges against him. Who can blame him? Dan Goodenough is using his own personal resources to defend himself against Martin's unleashed lawlessness. Martin has been squandering disgraceful amounts of the taxpayer's money to wrap up vendetta against the people who he blames for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST.

Unless you've been living in a cave, you've seen Martin LIE to the television cameras again and again and again. Oh, Martin's LIES are nothing new. But they haven't been on such full and obvious display until recently. So, do you still think "this mayor does great things for people"?

If you want to understand the kind of people you elected in 2012, consider this. Holly Menninger-Isenhour left the building early this morning joyously and sarcastically singing the '70's hit by Steam, "Na, Na, Hey, Hey, Kiss Him Goodbye". This is what happens when voters stock their local government with pinheads.

Martin tried to reverse gears and put on a mendacious mask of magnanimity after announcing that he had finally spent enough taxpayer money to force out Goodenough. Martin sheepishly admitted that Goodenough served the City well for most of his career.

So, what has changed? And, what will change in November?

That remains to be seen.
