Ah, Yes. The "Desert Fox" Analogy

The Martin Chronicles welcomes Local 12 News and their veteran reporter Joe "Spider" Webb to the club of people to whom Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor has LIED. Not that it is a very exclusive club.

If you missed "Spider's" report, you can read all about it on the Local 12 News website. Once again, Martin was serving up more flame-broiled whoppers than your friendly, local Burger King.

Martin LIED to "Spider", saying that Goodenough had taken some time off. Of course he has. That's what everyone does when they're suspended without pay pending termination.

Martin went on to LIE, "I know its tough and challenging for a bunch of residents to be on the bubble, not know what's going on. But at this time I just ask for their patience so that we can get through this process that we're dealing with and everything will work out for the City. I don't want to talk about it". But we sure as hell do.

And, "patience"? Seriously? The people of Villa Hills have suffered through this nitwittery now for more that three terrible years. How much "patience" should they be expected to have?

While we have been unable to reach-suspended-without-pay-soon-to-be-former-Police Chief Dan Goodenough for comment, we have uncovered some solid information. One of our investigative reporters spoke with a source close to Martin's personal-and-now-City- Attorney Toad V. McMurtry on the condition of anonymity. You see, many of the people who work with Toad V. McMurtry have grown to loathe him.

So what did that source tell us? This source told us that when trying to understand what is happening to Goodenough, think of what happened to German General Erwin Rommel in the latter stages of WWII. Hitler gave Rommel two options after the Fuehrer learned that Rommel was most likely involved in the plot to assassinate him in July, 1944 (and NO, we aren't suggesting that Goodenough was plotting to assassinate Martin! Not that we're totally opposed to that idea). Hitler told Rommel that he could either be publicly disgraced and face a firing squad. Or, the famous "Desert Fox" could take his own life and the LIE would be told that Rommel died bravely leading his troops in battle.

Some choice, huh? Well, in a very clear way, our source tells us that Goodenough was given a very similar choice.

However you want to slice it, this is far worse than Chief Goodenough simply having stopped reporting for duty. No, this Martin pushing to "pick-off" the last man he blames for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST. Yes, "Spider", it was FORGERY, not FRAUD. Yes, Martin is a FRAUD. But he was arrested for FORGERY. And four judges later opined that what Martin did indeed FIT THE VERY DEFINITION OF FORGERY.

Oh, by the way, Martin was in the meeting when the options of retiring or being fired and publicly-and FALSELY-disgraced were presented to Chief Goodenough. That makes his LIES even more disgusting.

Oh, and Martin told "Spider" that he couldn't talk about personnel matters because they are confidential. Oh, really? You don't say? Is that a fact? Well, then perhaps Martin should clue in people like Mary Koenig, Holly Menninger-Isenhour, Brian Wischer, Summer Berger and Dave Hilgeford about that. Because they routinely bring up those allegedly "confidential" personnel matters in public meetings all of the time.

Hell, Hilgeford even went so far as to slanderously suggest that former Assistant Chief Joe Schutzman might go shoot up a local elementary school if they didn't take his service pistol away from him. No wonder Schutzman decided to get the hell out of dodge. All of these people are dead nuts crazy.

Is this what that loopy lady meant when she took to a podium to declare that "this mayor (Martin) does great things for people"? We can only assume so. What an idiot.

Are you happy now EDDIE?
