WEEKENDER: That Was The Week That Was

The Martin Chronicles staff received kudos from their beloved publisher late Thursday night. Why? Because the entire staff has been extremely busy covering "the week that was" in malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's tumultuous town of Villa Hills. Our reporters have been working more overtime this week than the mismanaging Martin's under-staffed and over-worked local police department.

FIRST:
Not just one, but TWO hastily convened Special Meetings of the Villa Hills City Council. Our investigators' excellent work leads us to believe that these the two Special Meetings-hastily called by the mendacious Martin-were a direct result of what happened in the out-of town meeting Martin and others attended on Wednesday, October 30.

Our investigators have talked to several sources. We now believe that the mallet-headed Martin is hoping against hope that City Council will sign-off on a Municipal Order that will allow the Tiny Tyrant and his gaggle of taxpayer-funded attorneys to negotiate a settlement with a City employee who has been the target of a many-year-long Martin vendetta.

To date, we applaud the City Council for refusing to come to miscreant Martin's undeserving aid. They seem to have at-least-so-far declined Martin's invitation to use taxpayer money to release the Diminutive Dictator from the personal legal bind his reckless LIBEL, SLANDER and DEFAMATION has created. We aren't yet ready to report that Villa Hills taxpayers can relax. Anything can still happen.

SECOND:
"Tailgunner Mary" Koenig reminded us of why so many people find politicians a disgusting breed of cat. How? At the first of the two hastily-convened Special Meetings, Koenig attempted to deflect Councilman Rod Baehner's very legitimate concerns about the mayhem-raising Martin's desire to appoint a controversial Facebook bomb-thrower to the City's Civil Service Board by announcing that she had a photo of four friends having lunch together. "Tailgunner Mary" explained that "someone had anonymously sent her the photo".

While we think Baehner is probably too professional to do so, we wish his reply to "Tailgunner Mary" had been, "So f&%#ing what?". One can always dream anyway.

"Tailgunner Mary" has always been a purveyor of the phony hit. She loves using straw men to defend her indefensible positions. Red-baiting Senator Joseph McCarthy would have been proud of Koenig's Monday night shenanigans.

THIRD:
We have learned that our very recent report that the miscreant Martin boarded a plane early Friday morning and left the country has generated a great deal of angst amongst Martin's taxpayer-funded hired guns. Evidently these hired guns wanted to keep something that IS A FACT a secret from the residents. We wonder why?

Sources also tell us that the aforementioned taxpayer-funded hired guns are trying to discover how The Martin Chronicles learned that Martin has left the country. If these hired guns had asked us, we would have happily told them. Our contacts at CVG were the ones who called us very early Friday morning. Its as simple as that. "He's leavin' on a jet plane. Don't know when he'll be back again."

FINALLY:
The good news is that the voters of Villa Hills now have less than a year until the mismanaging Martin stands for re-election. These voters tried to fix things by surrounding Martin with an entirely new council in 2012. It should be clear to most that the real problem is the little fellow who sits in the center chair. Things will only improve when that tiny tyrant is finally gone.

That was the week that was.
