The Martin Chronicles is not kidding. Several sources tell us that Martin left an executive session (closed-door meeting) during Wednesday's council meeting under the premise of needing a bathroom break. He was then overheard shooting his mouth off about what was being discussed in the private meeting to assembled members of his hillbilly lynch mob.
Why is that important? Because it is almost certain that the City's defense strategy in current lawsuits and the ones that are about to be filed was being discussed. Martin may have revealed those strategies to folks who do not wish Villa Hills' taxpayers well.
Setting aside all of Martin's corrupt behavior, his ineptitude is enough to disqualify him. The more than $150,000 he wasted on unnecessary overtime is bad enough. But that amount may seem like chicken feed in lawsuit judgments against the City.
So, Martin decided to assist any and all plaintiffs against the taxpayers by tipping the City's defense plans. We wonder if he plays poker with his cards facing out as well.
