Perhaps we will learn the purpose of the unannounced meeting that was held on Monday, December 9. The unannounced meeting was attended by Martin, Councilmembers Cahill, Koenig and Wischer and City Clerk Craig Bohman. It's been a terrible year for the City, preceded by two additional terrible years for the City. So, at this point, your guess about the purpose of Monday's unannounced meeting is as good as ours.
Maybe the mismanaging Martin will use the occasion of this December City Council meeting to explain the reasons for the flurry of hastily-convened, not-so-special Special Meetings that were called over the past several weeks. Residents should keep in mind that all legal preparatory work was billed to the taxpayers, whether a not-so-special Special Meeting was actually called to order or not.
Could it be that the misdirecting Martin will use tonight's Mayor's report to justify his reasons for why the taxpayers should fork-over big bucks to help him extricate himself from the serious, personal legal liability he now faces for his intentional LIBEL, SLANDER and DEFAMATION? What the heck? He could say that the taxpayers should be more than happy to pay his legal bills because of his bogus claims that he "found" $30,000, and another $30,000, and another $30,000. If he does, we hope he also explains why he also said he didn't know how he found all of the money he actually never found.
Perchance the malevolent Martin will use tonight's Mayor's Report to justify his several-year-long assault on Police Chief Dan Goodenough, Assistant Chief Joe Schutzman and the rest of the stretched-way-too-thin local police department. If Martin does this, you can rest assured that he will say it has been because he (doesn't) run a "tight ship", and will make no mention of his ceaseless vendetta to gain revenge against the enemies he incorrectly blames for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST. You see, Martin could easily determine who was truly to blame for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST by simply looking in to a mirror.
Possibly the mismanaging Martin will use tonight's Mayor's Report to explain why family members and other cronies have been used to dig up dirt on City employees and otherwise make mischief that is costing the taxpayers a great deal of money. We doubt that though. Why? Because many of those aforementioned people are about to be hit with legal action.
Conceivably the misdirecting Martin could use tonight's Mayor's Report to explain why his failed efforts to save money by taking every conceivable benefit away from the City's beleaguered employees makes more sense than stopping his persistently wasteful spending on large numbers of lawyers and legal actions. If nothing else, Martin could shore up his base of government-haters as he faces reelection in just 327 days.
We think you should consider attending tonight's meeting. If not, you should watch it on TWC Channel 16 or Cincinnati Bell Channel 816.
No matter what you decide to do, you can rest assured that The Martin Chronicles will provide full reportage and in-depth analysis of tonight's meeting.
