Way Beyond Ugly

The Martin Chronicles has been interviewing people who were around during those bygone days of former Villa Hills Mayor Steve Clark. Those times were tumultuous. People were divided and angry. But it was nothing like the ugly mess that has been created by malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin and his entourage.

Martin revealed something about himself during the angry telephone exchange with Special Counsel Phil Taliaferro on Tuesday. Mr. Taliaferro was correctly advising Martin that they should communicate through Martin's attorney. Martin's response?

No!!! If my employees do not go back to work, and you have told them that, then they will reap the consequences of disobeying the direct order from the superior. Do YOU understand that?

What does Martin reveal in his comments? How about a full blown case of megalomania? He refers to himself as "the superior"? Who is he trying to kid? The little fella has been desperately trying to walk back the comments he made in that phone call. But it is too late.

On a related note, it is interesting that the Martinites are reduced to describing WCPO as biased for SIMPLY REPLAYING MARTIN'S OWN WORDS IN THEIR ENTIRETY. Pathetic.

Besides, Martin's actions speak far louder than his words. For instance? Please read Executive Order 2012-3. Once again, it is very revealing.

Pursuant to KRS 83A.130, the Mayor, as executive authority, directs that the Villa Hills Police Department is excused and shall not provide, direct, or coordinate security for the October 8, 2012 hearing scheduled by the City Council. Instead, such security shall be provided, directed and coordinated by the Kenton County's Sheriff's Office. Furthermore, the Mayor hereby directs that no employee of the City shall be paid or shall attend that hearing in an official capacity, with the exception of the City Clerk/Acting City Clerk. Furthermore, no overtime shall be expended in that effort. Any employee violating this order will be ordered arrested for trespassing by the Kenton County's Sheriff's office. Effective this 3d day of October, 2012

It is signed by Martin and witnessed by Interim City Clerk Sue Bree.

Of course we know why Martin is preventing the Villa Hills Police Department from providing security. Two reasons.

First, Janet Martin was livid that Police Chief Dan Goodenough tried to maintain good order and safety by waiting until a few minutes before the last hearing to open the council chambers. Why? Goodenough's smart decision disrupted Mrs. Shorty's plan to have the Martin hillbilly lynchmob make mayhem.

Second, as evidenced by the recent arrest of a City employee, the County seems to be quite willing to offer an "assist" to Martin. The odds of the hearing deteriorating in to a redneck rodeo increase dramatically with the compliant County providing "security".

Here is a question to ponder. How can someone be arrested just for attending a public hearing? Only in Martinville.

Here is what is going on. Martin is attempting to intimidate the employees who have been called as witnesses in the upcoming removal hearing. Will Martin's County "partners" actually arrest Chief Goodenough and Detective Schutzman if they show up at the hearing to testify? How could Martin justify that? Because police officers are ALWAYS acting in an "official capacity". They are police officers 24/7.

Would the County arrest these men at Martin's request? Well, they just arrested one City employee. Why not two more?

MORE BREAKING NEWS:

We have learned that Martin has suspended Assistant City Clerk Kimberly Robbins without pay. Sources tell us that Martin provided Robbins with no reason for the suspension. Those sources also tell us that Martin claimed that the City's Civil Service Ordinance prohibited him from providing a reason for the suspension. Our legal experts do not agree.

It is worth noting that Ms. Robbins is scheduled to testify at the upcoming removal hearing.

It is crucial to note that our sources report that CITY ATTORNEY MIKE DUNCAN WAS NOT AWARE OF THE EXECUTIVE ORDER THREATENING THE ARREST OF CITY EMPLOYEES.
