The Martin Chronicles is really starting to feel it now. It's in the air. Sure, it's been awfully hot and humid of late. But the Labor Day weekend reminds us that the cooler winds and falling leaves of autumn are right around the corner. And so is the all-out war that's about to be waged by multiple camps for control of Villa Hills'-currently-hopelessly-bogged-down-in-incompetence-and-corruption-City Government.
For those of you who are sick and tired of incumbent, malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's endless, wasteful and inexplicably stupid antics, we have a very strong warning. Do not-repeat-do not think that's Martin's certainly-deseved ouster is a foregone conclusion.
Why? Because the nasty nitwit Martin has already proven how he is able to feast on what radio colossus Rush Limbaugh refers to as "low-information voters":
- Martin was elected to the mayor's office by telling all manner of slanderous-and-never-even-attempted-to-be-proven-lies in 2010.
- Martin successfuly swept away the previous City Council by telling everyone the-now-we-know-masssive-lie that all he needed was "a City Council that would work with him" in 2012.
- Besides, we know that several civic club asshats have accidentally revealed that they plan to launch a false-and defamatory-campaign against their equally-corrupt buddy Martin's 2014 mayoral opponents. The grisly gargoyle General Zod has already begun that calumnious campaign.
- Then there is the addle-minded Councilwoman and mayoral candidate Holly B. Menninger-Isenhour who has been trolling the "low-information" voters slanderously alleging that the best mayoral candidate is a "drug addict who has assembled a team of people hell-bent on destroying Villa Hills". As absolutely crazy as that baseles claim sounds to reasonable people, some "low-information" voters may be persuaded.
- Several sources have also confirmed that vile, ancient Councilwoman Mary Koenig has already launched her battle-tested-and dishonest-"whispering campaign".
- But the evil "star of the show" remains the mendacious Martin. He has already taken his poor granddaughter to traverse the St. Joe's "End Of Summer" Church Festival spreading all manner of licentious lies about his mayoral opponents. That is only the very beginning.
Let's face it. The mismanaging Martin has no positive accomplishments around which he can build an issues-based re-election campaign. Martin is dumber than a cracked cinder block, but even he knows that the events of the past four, dreadful years do not-in-and-of-themselves-provide him a winning hand to play.
Martin used trite, inocuous campaign slogans in 2010. Don't you remember? "Mike Martin: A Fresh Start", "Mike Martin: Safety is my first priority", and the biggest, unnecessary whopper of all, "Mike Martin: Restoring Truth And Integrity To The Mayor's Office". In retrospect, that slogan came from someone who is totally detached from reality.
Just imagine these grim-reality based 2014 Martin campaign slogans:
- "Mike Martin: Ask not what your City Government can do for you, ask how much more of my personal legal fees you can pay to Turner, Sturgill, Baker & Moloney, PLLC."
- "Mike Martin: Destroying your local police department continues to be my first priority."
- "Mike Martin: I was only convicted on seven of 9 counts of Official Misconduct and Neglect of Duty."
- "Mike Martin: A Fresh Start for another four terrible years of unnecessary spending on lawyers and legal actions."
- "Mike Martin: I just need one more complete set of six councilmembers to show you what I can really do."
- "Mike Martin: I deserved more than the $23,000 check I signed the PO for and all of my personal legal fees for all of the legal actions my reckless behavior I have triggered paid because I'm just so, so busy with my unlicensed handyman business."
- "Mike Martin: a Craigory in every garage and two Toads in every pot."
- "Mike Martin: I like tax hikes."
- "Mike Martin: Crony-hire, taxpayer-funded, incompetent, $47.50 per hour bucket-headed bookkeeper Cordelia is the one."
- "Mike Martin: it's my personal enrichment, stupid."
- "Mike Martin: Building a taxpayer-funded bridge to my relief from all of the personal legal exposure I've created."
- "Mike Martin: Yes, we can continue to ram new taxes down your unsuspecting throats."
We have a suggestion for the anti-Martin campaign slogan. We are borrowing it from one of the slogans Lyndon Johnson used against Barry Goldwater in the 1964 Presidential Campaign.

But there is method to our beloved publisher's madness. You see, the real "fireworks" begin next week in malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's Villa Hills. Why? Because that's when the campaign for control of the currently-chaotic and corrupt City Government will begin in earnest. Our beloved publisher wants to be sure everyone is fully ready for action.

The Martin Chronicles is once again first to break an important local story. This time we are reporting that-in a very contentious meeting-the ass hats from the Villa Hills Civic Club have decided not to hold their usual election year redneck roundup that they always laughingly billed a "Candidate's Forum". This cannot be very good news to malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin and his band of dishonest cronies.
Why is the cancellation bad news for the diminutive dictator and his feckless followers? Oh, that's fairly obvious.
The civic club ass clowns actively assisted Martin as he narrowly won the mayor's office in 2010 by giving him a wide-open, unchallenged forum to tell all manner of slanderous lies. Then, in 2012, the asshats created a toxic atmosphere at the hillbilly hoedown that was actually dangerous for the incumbent councilpeople who dared to call out Martin for his incessant incompetence and corruption. Both events were a sickening-and-well-orchestrated-sham.
The usual social networking haters will call The Martin Chronicles "vile and disgusting" for calling that regular election year ridgerunner romp a "sham". But a sham is what it has become in the era of Martin. In reality, the civic club ass clowns and their inappropriately-named "Candidate's Forum" are what became "vile and disgusting".
No "asshat assembly" means:
- No Mrs. Martin slithering her way through the crowd spreading lies, hate and discontent.
- No Martin's hateful step-daughter falsely presenting herself as a Villa Hills' resident asking obvious, leading and pre-planned questions designed to embarrass anyone who is unwilling to kiss her mean-spirited and stupid step-father's undeserving ass.
- No Edgewood-resident civic club asshat "Sergeant-at-arms" ludicrously condemning another Edgewood resident for daring to question the motives of the-now-everyone-knows-false candidacy of one incompetent and corrupt Mike Martin for mayor.
- No-smelling-of-stale-beer-smelling-Dale Schaber asking inflammatory questions for the sole purpose of protecting his wife Cordelia's $47.50 per hour-rip-off-to-the-taxpayer-funded-job.
Not to worry. The misdirecting Martin will look for other ways to spread his licentious lies. The tiny tyrant is already using the taxpayer-funded City-joke-of-a-Website for propaganda that falsely portrays himself as a benevolent dictator who kindly gives of himself to help the pathetic residents. What a cruel hoax. Surely, more licentious lies are coming.

The Martin Chronicles has a team of forensic accountants carefully examining the cooked books of Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's corrupt and incompetent city government. The most veteran of the forensic specials said, "We're finding more things buried in this awful mess that don't smell right than we would in a cat's litter box that hasn't been changed in a month!"
One of the very smelly things the accountants have uncovered is a more than $6,000 taxpayer-funded payment to the Lexington-based law firm of Sturgill, Turner, Baker & Moloney, PLLC. Some of our readers may be shrugging their shoulders and thinking that Martin wasting money on lawyers and legal actions doesn't exactly qualify as breaking news. The diminutive dictator has squandered more that a half of million taxpayer dollars in such a way already, after all.
But this particular $6,000 waste of money on lawyers and legal actions may have more far-reaching consequences. Why? Because Sturgill, Turner, Baker & Moloney, PLLC has been providing Martin's defense for his personal exposure in the many unnecessary lawsuits he has triggered by his reckless behavior.
Did you get that? Just in case you didn't, it bears repeating. It is a fact that the taxpayers of Villa Hills have just paid more that $6,000 to the law firm that is currently providing Martin's personal defense for his exposure in several lawsuits. The great-and-not-at-all-surprisingly-unanswered-question is "WHY"?
As we reported in October, 2013, the misdirecting Martin desperately tried to hoodwink his once-"golden moment" council to agree to a lawsuit settlement that would also involve using taxpayer money to free the tiny tyrant from his personal legal exposure. To their credit, Martin's once-"golden moment" council said, "NO!"
So, that brings us to yet another great-and-not-at-all-surprisingly-unanswered-question. That very similar question is "WHY ARE THE TAXPAYERS PAYING MORE THAN $6,000 TO THE LAW FIRM TASKED WITH MARTIN'S PERSONAL DEFENSE?" If Martin's once-"golden moment" council resoundingly said "NO" to bailing Martin out of his personal exposure, why are the taxpayer's funding it?
Oh, we're quite sure that the mendacious Martin will offer some total bu!!$#it excuse-if he ever needs to. But all it will be is total bu!!$#it. Just like most everything the pipsqueak potentate says.
The voters will finally have the opportunity to toss out the filth in Martin's odious litter box in 69 days.
The Martin Chronicles entire staff keeps track of the large countdown clock our beloved publisher has placed in our palatial offices. There are now 10 weeks to go until Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin must face the voters as he brazenly stands for re-election. That's 70 days. Or, 1,680 hours. 1,680 hours during which The Martin Chronicles team will be working virtually around the clock.
One thing we know we will be reporting about is the terrible mudslinging that has already begun from the malevolent Martin and his calumnious camp of cronies. Even though most political campaigns don't begin in earnest until after Labor Day, the malevolent Martin and his calumnious camp of cronies has already started slinging filth. And it's bound to get far uglier.
What have we already seen?:
- The miscreant Martin used his poor granddaughter as a human shield at St. Joe's End of Summer Church Festival, wandering the festival grounds making slanderous claims to anyone who may or may not be listening about opponents Irvin Callery and Ernie Brown.
- Trojan Horse mayoral candidate Holly B. Menninger-Isenhour has been traversing Franzen Field and any other location she believes may be "friendly", slanderously telling people that Ernie Brown is "a drug addict". Menninger-Isenhour's lies have been so egregious that two unlicensed contractor to whom she used some rather "unconventional"-and scandalous-"barter" for their unlicensed work have decided to come forward to let Villa Hills voters know exactly what she gave them in exchange for their unlicensed work.
- The vile, ancient crocodile Mary Koenig has already begun her usual, disgusting "whispering campaign". Koenig is feeding the social-networking haters with a pile of defamatory bu!!$#it to post on several Facebook pages. Voters should be mindful that it is Koenig herself who is a hateful piece of $#it.
- The civic club's cult leader General Zod has been braying that mayoral candidate Ernie Brown left the civic club books in such disarray that "an audit has to be done". How rich. You see, it was General Zod himself who did nothing when one of his buddies embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from the civic club. General Zod's buddy did prison time for his misdeeds. General Zod only had to deal with the IRS.
Despite the fact that at least one mindless idiot took to a podium to foolishly proclaim that "this mayor (Martin) does great things for people, the malevolent Martin and his calumnious cronies' lies, slander, deceit and defamation has only just begun. It's the only thing that the malevolent Martin and his calumnious cronies can do to keep the diminutive dictator's undeserving ass in the mayor's office.
Why? Because Martin is a dishonest imbecile who couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag. The past four years has been a terrible embarrassment for Vila Hills. The only good (those not dropping acid, spreading hateful lies or their legs and pot in exchange for home improvement projects) councilmembers of the current six have become so disgusted with Martin's deceitful behavior that they took a pass on standing for re-election.
Villa Hills' voters need to carefully weigh the impact of their votes for mayor and council this time around. Whether they like us writing this or not, these same voters made huge, mindless mistakes in 2010 and 2012. If the majority of voters still haven't come to the realization that local government has the most impact on their daily lives and that those who serve on their local government is of paramount importance, they are beyond all hope.
Even still, we aren't sure what the voters will do.
The Martin Chronicles staff has seen and read about it many times before. History has presented many examples of it as well. Mostly weak-willed people get inculcated in to a particular groupthink that makes them say and do sometimes terrible, bizarre and inexplicable things.
Want a few good examples?
- The intelligent and industrious German people of the mid-twentieth century were oddly ready to be swept away in Hitler's wave of hatred that ultimately led to the dreadful destruction of their proud country.
- Even the otherwise placid 1950's was not immune to cults. The most famous was probably the Fountain of the World cult. A man named Frances Pencovic changed his name to Krishna Venta, attracting followers to his new religion with his tale of leading a convoy of rocket ships to Earth from the extinct planet Neophrates. Everything seemed to be going extremely well until Venta was killed in a suicide bombing perpetrated by a couple of former Fountain of the World followers.
- Alienated people who felt like outcasts in their contemporary culture came under the spell of the homicidal maniac Charles Manson in the late 1960's. Following Manson's teachings of "Helter Skelter", these disaffected people committed a string of brutal murders in the sick hope that they would spark a "race war" that would destroy everybody but them.
- Disaffected-and otherwise very good-people who were simply longing for understanding were pulled in to the twisted orbit of the Reverend Jim Jones and The People's Temple in the 1970's. Many of those otherwise very good people ended up face down in the Jonestown mud of Guyana.
- Very devout-and very desperate-people were lured by the apocalyptic teachings of David Koresh in the early 1990's. Approximately eighty people were ultimately consumed in the terrible conflagration that destroyed Koresh's Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993.
- Susceptible-but otherwise rational-people were seduced by the unusual doctrines of Marshall Applewhite in the latter 1990's. Desperately hoping that the pedestrian Comet Hale-Bopp was actually a spaceship on a mission to take them all to a better place, Applewhite's followers castrated themselves, donned black uniforms emblazed with the words "Heaven Gate's Away Team", put on Nike gym shoes, threw some quarters in a bag and committed suicide.
- Many Satanic cults have started in the 21st Century. People estranged from the turmoil of the modern world have been lured in to believing that the evil Lucifer can bring them great wealth and happiness. But then, there is that problem with human sacrifice.
Closer to home, we have the ass clowns from the Villa Hills Civic Club. Now, that is one crazy cult. Here is a group of loser misfits who spend most of their miserable evenings seated in a crappy bar swilling cheap beer and lapping up the demented preachings of a jackwagon we call General Zod.
General Zod is the dishonest doofus who was at the helm of the civic club for most of the time hundreds of thousands of dollars was being embezzled out of that organization's treasury. General Zod was wasting his misspent time bashing everyone else and creating straw man enemies while his treasurer-buddy was stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Insanity, yes. But it was pure, unadulterated General Zod.
General Zod and his facile followers helped the miscreant Mike Martin spread his "vile and disgusting" lies in 2010. That dishonest effort was a major reason that Martin eked out a razor-thin mayoral victory that year. It is amazing what a crazy cult can accomplish sometimes.
Well, the malevolent Martin is now standing for re-election in 2014. The miniature Mussolini is facing strong completion for the mayor's office. So, the calumnious civic club leader General Zod is at it again.
What is General Zod doing? He's trying to rally the civic club asshats to spread Martin's lies yet again. How? He's telling people that Martin's most formidable opponent, Ernie Brown, "made a mess of the civic club". General Zod is trying to blame the former club President Brown by saying that the club's books are in such disarray that "an audit is necessary". It is such a pack of dishonest deception that it even makes the mendacious Martin proud.
If General Zod was such a big believer in audits, he would have had one done when his buddy-the man who went to prison for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from the civic club treasury-was stealing from the club. But General Zod inexplicably turned a blind eye then. A careful review of an IRS audit from just a few years ago might explain why.
Will the civic club asshats end up castrating themselves, donning black jumpsuits that say "Hail Martin", collecting a bag of quarters and committing suicide? Will the civic club asshats barricade themselves into the lodge sparking a showdown with the feds that leads to a deadly conflagration? Will the civic club asshats end up dead, face down in the mud of the infields of Franzen Field? Will former civic club asshats kill General Zod in a suicide bombing? None of that is likely.
Instead, the civic club asshats will once again host an October hillbilly hoedown called a "Candidate's Forum", The phony forum will be designed to portray Mike Martin as something other than the imbecilic crook he truly is.
We'll know if that works this time in just 71 days.
The Martin Chronicles is perfectly willing to admit when we are in error. We work hard to keep up with all of the fast-breaking corruption and incompetence of Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin. It's a daunting challenge. But we'll just keep working harder.
So what did we get wrong? We'll, we reported that the misdirecting Martin hid $60,000 of taxpayer-funded legal expenses in "Office Expenses". We were incorrect. Martin didn't hide $60,000 of taxpayer-funded in legal expenses in "Office Expenses". No, Martin actually hid $71,184.36 of taxpayer-funded legal expenses in "Office Expenses".
Secondly, we have been reporting that Martin and his cronies are pouring $12,000 in to a little-used park. Once again, we were incorrect. Martin is already 25% over budget, wasting more than $15,000 on the little-used park. No wonder no road work is getting done.
We stand corrected.
The Martin Chronicles suggests some enterprising resident ask Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin how he can justify HIDING MORE THAN SIXTY THOUSAND WASTED TAXPAYER DOLLARS. Do you want to know more? Sure you do.
You see, the misdirecting Martin has intentionally mis-categorized more than $60,000 of the six figure-plus lawyer and legal actions wasted to railroad former Police Chief Dan Goodenough as an "OFFICE EXPENSE". "OFFICE EXPENSE"? "OFFICE EXPENSE"?
"OFFICE EXPENSE"?!?!?
Why would the dissembling dictator do that? Well, first of all he's a dishonest little bastard. Secondly, the pipsqueak potentate understands that the MORE THAN $500,000 he has squandered on lawyers and legal actions doesn't sit well with many residents.
Martin is just trying to hang on for another 73 days.
The Martin Chronicles watched the $350,000 settlement of the harassment lawsuit in the City of Park Hills with great interest. Given the fact that Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry (of Gerner & Kerns) also serves as Park Hills' City Attorney, Villa Hills taxpayers should quickly lock up their wallets.
The circumstances in Park Hills are eerily similar to the current turmoil in Villa Hills.
- Both mayors were suing the residents of the City they were supposedly running to lead back in 2010 (at least Park Hills current mayor had at least enough integrity to admit that fact).
- Both town's mayors are possessed of great amounts of bluster and very small amounts of brain.
- Both town's mayors have been accused of harassing their police department leadership.
- Both town's mayors forced out police department leadership and triggered very serious lawsuits for doing so.
- Both town's mayors hired Toad V. McMurtry (of Gerner & Kerns) to serve as City Attorney (but we don't think McMurtry was the personal attorney of Park Hills current mayor).
- The Park Hills mayor has told anyone who will listen-and many who don't want to listen-that he and the Villa Hills mayor are "the only ones with the balls to do what needed to be done". Yep, whatever the hell that was.
Well, we don't know how much "balls" it took for the Park Hills mayor to harass the former Police Chief so badly that their City Council just approved a $350,000 settlement to that former Police Chief. Oh, by the way, $150,000 of that settlement came directly out of the pockets of the residents of Park Hills. What a totally unnecessary waste of other people's money.
The residents of Villa Hills should be mindful of the fact that the Park Hills settlement was tendered to resolve just one lawsuit. These residents should be equally mindful of yet another fact. That fact? Their "ballsy" Mayor Martin's outrageous behavior leaves five serious lawsuits still unsettled. Not one. Not two. Not three. Not four. FIVE.
While we're on the subject of the FIVE unsettled lawsuits, its worth noting that current City Council candidates Summer Berger and Dave Hilgeford helped trigger some of the litigation because of their own over-the-top behavior at Safety Committee meetings. Voters should remember that when casting their ballots on November 4.
Okay, back to the subject at hand. It's time for the tried and true "worst case scenario". Park Hills shelled out $350,000-$150,000 of which came directly out of the pockets of Park Hills taxpayers-to settle one lawsuit triggered by the "ballsy" behavior of their mayor.
Villa Hillians now need to do the "worst case scenario" math. FIVE times the Park Hills' settlement amounts to $1,750,000 (That's ONE MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS for the uninitiated). The amount that would come directly out of the taxpayers' pockets? $750,000 (that's SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS for the still uninitiated).
That staggering amount is nearly ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for every man, woman and child in Villa Hills. Or, TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-EIGHT DOLLARS for every household in Villa Hills. Sort of makes the UNFAIR $40 PER CAR STICKER TAX that Martin continues to impose on the residents of Villa Hills-despite his broken 2010 solemn promise to repeal it-seem like "chicken feed", right?
Sure, it may not be that bad. But any reasonable person has to realize that it is going to be bad. Very bad. No road work. A broken police department. Zip, nada, nothing.
Here comes bad news, talkin' this and that.
The Martin Chronicles just welcomed reader number 250,000. Launching on October 8, 2011, covering the rampant corruption and incompetence of Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's mis-Administration has been a wild, wild ride.
Sure, 250,000 isn't a very big number when compared to the far more than 500,000 taxpayer dollars Martin has squandered on lawyers and legal actions. But our blog is reporting on a city-albeit a very, very troubled one-that is only 3.5 square miles in size with a population of less than 8,000 people. Needless to say, our beloved publisher is extremely pleased by-and thankful for-the reception The Martin Chronicles is receiving.
Hey, we know the haters are out there. You know, we're glad they are there. We have been called "vile" and "disgusting" for simply reporting the truth about Martin's willful wrongdoing and nascent nitwittery. But, considering the salacious sources, we wear their insults as a badge of honor.
One of our finest moments occurred when Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry wasted a great deal of taxpayer money interrogating witnesses at the disgraceful removal hearing for former Police Chief Dan Goodenough, angrily asking, "Do you write The Martin Chronicles? Do you know who writes The Martin Chronicles? Have you ever provided information to The Martin Chronicles, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah". There is nothing more satisfying than coming to the realization that you are squarely in the bald head of one of the worst of the bad guys.
We have to admit that we also enjoyed the vile ancient crocodile Mary Koenig's stumbling admission that even she reads our blog. Mary Koenig is probably one of the meanest people who has ever walked the face of The Great Spirit's green earth. Koenig has perpetrated so much heartache and headache on Villa Hills that its extent is incalculable. She is nefarious and Machiavellian. So, we also enjoy being inside her evil head.
Yes, its been fun. But its been hard work as well. Why? Because despite the nitwit who took to a podium to foolishly declare that "this mayor (Martin) does great things for people", covering all of the crime and incompetence of Martin's Reign of Error has required virtually non-stop effort.
We've worked every Christmas since we launched. We've worked on every Thanksgiving. We've worked on every Memorial Day and July 4. Why? Because Martin never stops breaking the law. And because we have a deep, abiding affection for the beloved publisher who brought us all together.
But the entire staff of The Martin Chronicles is up to this daunting task. Our beloved publisher has assembled a battle-hardened staff who has covered government corruption all across this great country of ours. Almost to a person, all of our veteran reporters say that they have almost never witnessed someone as corrupt and incompetent as the egomaniacal Martin. And, brothers and sisters, that is really saying something.
Our fondest hope is that the voters of Villa Hills resoundingly toss out the mean-spirited Martin on his pimply ass on November 4. But, surprisingly, that result will have a bitter-sweet element to it.
Why? Because relentlessly covering all of Martin's endless wrongdoing and stupidity has been like a white-hot crucible far hotter than the hastily dug pit where Martin illegally burned City records in early 2012. That white-hot crucible has forged the entire staff of The Martin Chronicles in to a deeply-connected Band of Brothers and Sisters. Most of The Martin Chronicles staff never had the great pleasure of working together before. But, our efforts for The Martin Chronicles have truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
So, if Martin is defeated-as he deserves-on November 4, all of us know that this great crusade will be nearing its necessary end. All of us realize that a Martin defeat will mean that many people who have become incredibly close friends will have to start thinking about packing up their personal belongings and moving on to their next assignment. Perhaps many of us will never see each other again.
Even still, we are fine with that result.
The Martin Chronicles recently reported Holly Menninger-Isenhour's over-the-top allegations against rival mayoral candidate Ernie Brown. For those of you who missed it, Menninger-Isenhour recently trolled Franzen Field charging that Ernie Brown is a "drug addict".
Menninger-Isenhour also glibly chirped that she has yard signs proclaiming that "I don't do drugs-but Ernie Brown does". You don't say? Is that a fact? Well, when you toss a hand grenade like Menninger-Isenhour did, you had better be sure that someone doesn't have the time to toss it right back in your lap.
We have learned that two unlicensed contractors plan to come forward to take issue with Menninger-Isenhour's yard sign assertion. These contractors worked on Menninger-Isenhour's house not all that long ago and have quite a story to tell about what the now-mayoral wannabe provided them in exchange for their handyman services.
You know, the next 75 days would be a lot easier to take if all of the rival candidates simply focused on debating the real issues in Villa Hills. But politics in Villa Hills doesn't seem to work that way. As malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin once notoriously said, "It's not in my best interest to debate the issues".
Evidently, the same is true for Menninger-Isenhour.
The Martin Chronicles is following up on its Wednesday, August 13 post, "Martin Rears His Very Ugly Head Immediately". The majority of that report dealt with Martin's defamatory behavior at the St. Joe's End of Summer Festival. Yes, Martin's false witness was incredibly ugly.
But the second part of our story that day revealed something far more serious that deserves additional attention. What is it? Martin's blatant disregard for both Kentucky Statute and Villa Hills City Policy. The issue? "Political activity".
First, let's circle back to Martin's May 23, 2013 suspension of then-Assistant Police Chief Joe Schutzman. Martin, his personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry and City Clerk/City Administrator Craigory T. Bohman ambushed Schutzman in the then-Assistant Chief's office, leveling a bevy of never-substantiated charges the terrible trio claimed warranted an immediate suspension without pay.
One of the many never-substantiated charges leveled against Schutzman that May day was that the then-Assistant Police Chief had engaged in "political activity". You see, shortly after City Clerk/City Administrator Craigory T. Bohman was hired, he began following Villa Hills City employees around with a camera. Bohman made the never-substantiated allegation that he took photos of Schutzman engaging in "political activity" while on duty.
Flash forward to August, 2014. By several unimpeachable accounts, that once-heinous crime has evidently become official City policy in the Martin mis-Administration.
How so? Several undeniably reliable sources tell us that Martin is now brow-beating City employees, demanding that they go out and tell residents what a "great job" the tiny tyrant is doing. Why? Because-according to the Martin-if the miniature Mussolini isn't re-elected on November 4, "a new mayor will come in and fire all of them".
Wow. You don't say? Really? Is that a fact? Geez. That sounds exactly like a desperate mayor clinging to his long-desired power, pushing his taxpayer-funded employees to engage in well, uh, err, umm, "political activity". Man, that's really, really bad. And worse yet, what Martin is ordering these poor employees to do is against State statute, City policy and the Ethics ordinance.
Let's explode Martin's sure-to-come, dishonest excuse right now. You see, the prohibition against City employees engaging in "political activity" only really applies when that employee is on duty. Okay. Fair enough.
But guess what? As far as we can determine, only one current Villa Hills' City employee resides in Villa Hills. Does any reasonable person believe that any of the other mistreated employees who live all over Northern Kentucky will travel back to Villa Hills to campaign for the tiny man who treats them like dirt? That's a big, old "hell no".
So, its clear that Martin is demanding that City employees engage in "political activity" while they are on duty, being remunerated by the taxpayers. Yep, that's not only improper and unethical. It's illegal.
The voters can clean out the City Government stable in just 76 days.
The Martin Chronicles has written that Villa Hills is a little city in desperate need of a serious debate about the steps needed to get its City Government back on track. After four years of embarrassing mayhem created by the corruption and mismanagement of malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin and his cronies, the voters need honest adults to lay out their plans to fix the incredible mess Martin has made. If what we have witnessed over the early days of the 2014 campaign are any indication-and there is no reason to believe otherwise-the voters are instead going to be served up the same mud bath they received in 2010 and 2012.
The latest example? Several sources tell us that mayoral candidate Holly B. Menninger-Isenhour spent part of her weekend "campaigning" on the civic club ballfields. Did Menninger-Isenhour explain her plans to repair the city's finances? Did Menninger-Isenhour provide details on how she would ensure that the town had adequate police protection? Did Menninger-Isenhour enlighten voters about her vision for reviving a dead-in-the-water street repair and replacement program? No, no and no.
Instead, witnesses say that Menninger-Isenhour spent her time viciously bashing mayoral candidate Ernie Brown. We have been told that Menninger-Isenhour made the claim-that she may find herself in the position of having to prove-that Brown is a "drug addict who has a team ready to destroy the city".
Observers tell us that Menninger-Isenhour proclaimed that she has yard signs at-the-ready announcing that "I don't do drugs-but Ernie Brown does". Wow. We certainly hope people who place a defamatory sign like that in their yard ask Menninger-Isenhour to provide irrefutable proof of such a claim before they risk their financial necks. People would be very foolish to make themselves additional targets of a gigantic libel and defamation lawsuit simply because they don't like how many cats their neighbor has.
This is the toxic atmosphere that Mike Martin has created. Sure, he's had some help. People like Mary Koenig and the civic club ass clowns have been conducting smear campaigns for many years. It's what they know. It's who they are.
But the latest cycle of calumny began nearly seven years ago when Martin was discovered to be signing his deceased mother's name on his deceased mother's child support checks, cashing them and pocketing the proceeds. Martin reacted by weaving a huge fable about being a good government zealot who was being targeted by "dark forces" determined to hold on to their "power".
Smarting from the embarrassment of their six-figure embezzlement scandal, civic club ass hats lapped up Martin's lies and began spreading them like the deadly virus they eventually became. It matters not to Martin that four highly-respected appellate judges have opined that what he did "fits the very definition of forgery". The lies continue.
Should politics in a small city like Villa Hills be so hateful? Of course not. But they certainly are. The quiet departure of earnest council members Jim Cahill, Rod Baehner and Amy Balson speaks volumes about the poisonous politics in Martin's Villa Hills. No wonder so many reasonable people want no part of trying to fix the many messes Martin has created.
Yes, we will have 77 more days of THIS.
The Martin Chronicles has been pouring over the upcoming race for control of malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's Villa Hills City Government. There are an unprecedented three challengers to the mismanaging Martin and nine candidates for seats on the city council.
The past four years have taught us that if the mendacious Martin is re-elected it matters not who wins seats on the council. Martin has had the rare opportunity to work with two entirely different six-member sets of council people and has proven he is unable to work with anyone.
The miniature madman is consumed with the thought that he is the "CEO". All decisions are "his" and his alone. If you don't agree with Martin's decisions, your only recourse is to "deal with it". Why? Because the diminutive dictator is "moving on". You had better disabuse yourself of the incorrect notion that further tinkering with the make-up of the council will finally make the city's lot better.
What about the council race itself. It looks like a tug-of-war between people who want to take a serious-minded approach to city government (as they have in the past) and a group of mean-spirited amateurs who are convinced they know better than everyone else (even when the facts persistently prove otherwise).
These mean-spirited amateurs where at the epicenter of the destruction of the local police department. They will be backed by the online haters who constantly throw terrible misinformation on to the social networks-thinking it makes them some how sound "in-the-know".
The derisive-and incorrect-term "good old boys" is about to resurface in an ugly way. The implication? That the so-called "good old boys" gained some mysterious-and improper-benefit from their previous time serving on council.
But our investigations tell us that it is Martin who signed a purchase order that placed TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND TAXPAYER DOLLARS in his own pocket and Mary Koenig who steered TWELVE THOUSAND TAXPAYER DOLLARS in to a little-used park that provides the side benefit of improving her own back yard. That seems like the behavior of "good old boys" to us.

The Martin Chronicles loves to read the social networks. The variety of posts we are reading give us a very real sense of what is coming in malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's troubled Villa Hills. What we see coming is not going to be pretty.
Conclusion One: Many of the haters are pulling their support away from the malevolent Martin and throwing it to Irvin Callery. Why? Most likely because they sense that the mismanaging Martin is in trouble. They also dread the thought that any of the people who ran the city so very well for so very long might return to public service. Why? Your guess is as good as ours.
Conclusion Two: Some people have absolutely no sense of history. One post actually suggested that the candidates who previously served on council are somehow disqualified simply because they were defeated in 2012. Is that what you really believe? Because, if so, the misdirecting Martin himself was disqualified in the 2010 mayoral race. Why? Because he was defeated in his 2008 bid to be re-elected to council. You just can't have it both ways.
Conclusion Three: Look for the return of the very worn-out cliché. Want an already glaring example? "Move the city forward". Mary Koenig popularized that odd phrase way back in the 1990's. Exactly what does "move the city forward" mean? In point of fact, wasn't Villa Hills named the best neighborhood in the Tri-State by the obscure Cincy Business magazine precisely because of it's location? Then why "move" it in any direction? Go figure.
Conclusion Four: Some people seem to have great difficulty sorting out the difference between "opinion" and "fact". It is a fact that roughly five hundred thousand taxpayer dollars has been spent on lawyers and legal actions during Martin's tenure. Your view on whether or not spending five hundred thousand taxpayer dollars on lawyers and legal actions is good or bad is an example of an opinion. Seems pretty straightforward.
Conclusion Five: Some people also seem to have great difficulty sorting out the difference between "negativity" and "lively debate". By their very nature, politics and elections spark lively debate. It is not necessarily "negative" if someone expresses an opinion that you do not share. Do you want a good example of "negativity"? That would be when Martin dragged his poor granddaughter around St. Joe's End of Summer Festival last Friday night making all manner of wild allegations about Ernie Brown and Irvin Callery. That type of behavior of is "negative" and hateful.
The Martin Chronicles did sincerely hope that the coming election would focus on the issues and real plans for the future of Villa Hills. Given Martin's disgraceful behavior last Friday night, that does not seem likely to happen.

- Top of the morning to ya, compadre. I'm Mayor Mike Martin. Vote for me because I used your money to pay my incredibly unqualified-oddly close-"friend" Cordelia Schaber $47.50 per over-charged hour to completely f^<{-up the city's financial records; or
- Good cheer, fellow Villa Hillian. I'm your beloved Mayor Mike Martin. I deserve your vote on November 4 because I received a "confidential" reprimand from the city's ethics board for misuse of city personnel and resources"; or
- Hi friend, I'm Mike Martin. I'm your mayor and you shall have no mayors before me. I'm the guy who ordered his wife work on a former councilman's failed State Senate campaign in exchange for his "NO" vote to justifiably remove me from office in October, 2012"; or
- "I deserve your vote because I was convicted on seven of nine counts of official misconduct and neglect of duty"; or
- "Howdy, I'm the self-proclaimed, all-powerful 'CEO' of Villa Hills and you should re-elect me because I signed a purchase order that put more than twenty-three thousand taxpayer dollars in my own pocket"; or
- "Hello, I'm Villa Hills Mayor Martin. I need your vote in November because I have clearly proven that I have been completely unable to work with two completely different city councils over the last four years.";or
- "Vote for me because I raised your sneaky insurance premium tax by nearly fifty percent"; or
- "Hey, there. I'm Mayor Mike Martin. I want your vote because I lied when I told you that former Police Chief Dan Goodenough was taking a few days off"; or
- "Greetings citizen, I'm your mayor and I deserve your vote in November because I demanded that city council give me unrestrained control over more than three million dollars of your hard-earned money to spend how ever the hell I want".
Even the dim-witted Martin has enough frontal lobe function to realize that the truth about the last four years is not good for him. Only the most ardent-and perpetually drunk-civic club ass hat would be impressed with Martin's list of "accomplishments".
So, Martin filed his papers last Friday and immediately began smearing his far-better-qualified opponents. He grabbed up his poor little granddaughter to use as a prop and headed for the St. Joes "End of Summer" Festival Friday night.
Dozens of sources tell us that Martin gleefully approached them and immediately began to trash both Ernie Brown and Irvin Callery, accusing them of all manner of wrongdoing. Many of the people Martin approached foolishly bought his 2010 lies and gave him their vote. But to a person, they said, "No way, no how. Not now, not ever, never" to the prospect of casting another vote for the diminutive dictator. Better way too late for former Police Chief Dan Goodenough and several others, we guess.
The miscreant Martin worked his way through the assembled festival throng with his poor little granddaughter in tow spreading a mountain of dirty lies about his far-better-qualified opponents. How disgusting is that? Martin was dealing dreadful calumny in the shadow of a house of worship. Martin was exposing his poor little granddaughter to the terrible sin of bearing false witness against his neighbors at an event designed to raise money for a religious institution. Are these examples of what the moron who proclaimed "this mayor does great things for people" meant? Perhaps.
Oh, Martin's mendacity doesn't stop there. Several unimpeachable sources have absolutely confirmed that the miniature Mussolini is also demanding that taxpayer-funded city employees violate city policy and Kentucky law by "engaging in political activity".
You see, Martin is insisting that taxpayer-funded city employees go out and tell the residents what a great job the tin-pot dictator is doing. In other words, Martin is ordering the taxpayer-funded city employees lie in a desperate attempt to keep his undeserving ass seated in the mayor's office.
What is Martin telling these beleaguered taxpayer-funded city employees? "You better tell the residents I'm doing a great job. If I'm not re-elected, the next mayor just might fire you." The obvious, thinly-veiled threat? If the taxpayer-funded city employees don't go out and lie about what a great job the pipsqueak potentate is doing, Martin himself will fire them. It's enough to make any rational person throw up in their mouth.
When we first learned of this Martin atrocity, we said, "Oh, really? Is that a fact? You don't say?" Why? Because Martin and his personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry used trumped up charges of "engaging in political activity" as one of the many false excuses to attempt to fire former Villa Hills Assistant Police Chief Joe Schutzman.
You remember Assistant Police Chief Joe Schutzman, right? He's the poor guy Martin falsely says violated his constitutional rights when the Assistant Chief supposedly cuffed and stuffed him when Martin was RIGHTFULLY CHARGED WITH FORGERY IN LATE 2007. The problem with Martin's bogus story? That isn't even remotely close to what happened.

We are waiting to see all of the names who will fill out the field as the 2014 race for the mayor's office and city council seats in malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's Villa Hills is just about to begin in earnest. 83 days and counting down to VVH (Victory in Villa Hills) Day
No reasonable person can honestly say that the last four years has been even remotely good for Villa Hills. Don't take our word for it. Just read the dinosaur media's news archives. There has been virtually nothing but embarrassment, followed by embarrassment, followed by embarrassment, followed by embarrassment followed by even more embarrassment.
What has been the common thread through the endless embarrassment? Well, that would be the mismanaging Martin. Hoping for some break in the humiliation, the voters surrounded the miscreant Martin with an entirely new city council. But the six new council members have had no better luck dealing with the diminutive dictator than the previous six council members had. Why? Because the misdirecting Martin is an incredibly dishonest prick.
The mallet-headed Martin currently has two opponents who would be vastly better than he has been these past four years. Let's just look at two reasons why. First, both of his current opponents are completely capable of telling the truth. Second, both have successfully managed other organizations.
There is a very hot rumor circulating around Villa Hills that a fourth mayoral candidate will file her papers today. The bad news? Her entry creates the possibility that the misdirecting Martin could be re-elected with just 26% of the vote. The good news? As woefully inadequate as this rumored fourth candidate is, even she would be a better mayor than Martin. Hell, almost anybody would do a better job than Martin has these past four dreadful years.
Sources in the know also tell us that as many as three of the incumbent councilmembers do not intend to seek re-election. Why? Well, we are told that these three councilmembers are completely frustrated because it is impossible to work with the abjectly unprofessional Martin. We are also told that these three incumbents are tired of the incessant threats they receive from Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry.
Today is a very important day for the Villa Hills. The voters need a very full slate of candidates from which to choose. Some of them are bound to be good choices. It is our sincere hope that the voters will take some amount of time this go-around to research each candidate. They should not take the meaningless "word" of what some civic club ass clown tells them. There is too much at stake.

The Martin Chronicles reported earlier today that Villa Hill malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin has filed for re-election. This will be a wild race. Martin is running against (at least) two vastly superior candidates. But then, virtually anyone with a pulse would be a vastly superior candidate. Perhaps even some without a pulse. But, we digress.
We look for the mud and the bold-faced lies to be flying everywhere for the next eighty-four days. We aren't sure if the tiny tyrant is still working on City Administrator/City Clerk Craigory Bohman's house on Riggs Avenue as well.
This is going to a wild election season!
The Martin Chronicles is closely watching as the filing deadline clock winds down. The field of candidates for mayor and council in malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's Villa Hills will be more-or-less set at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. We say "more-or-less" set because there is always the real possibility that others may decide to pull a "Mike Pope" and toss their hats in the ring after the filing deadline, running as write-in candidates.
Write-in candidates will have all the way until Friday, October 24 to file their paperwork. The Martin Chronicles truly hope it happens. Imagine if at least a small handful of procrastinating pols jump in at the tail end of what should already be a full-blown, backstabbing cage match. Villa Hills door bells would be ringing, ringing, ringing, ringing, ringing and ringing some more. Local office supply stores would make a fortune-one dime at a time-on high speed copies, sell out of colored paper and rubber bands. It would make for a hugely fun final ten days of the race.
We already know that long-time Villa Hills resident-with a very long history of successful, distinguished philanthropic endeavors-Ernie Brown and short-time resident-and former mayor of the Bob Due-disgraced Covington-Irvin Callery are running for to replace the meat-headed Martin in the mayor's office.
We also know that the mysterious Brian R. Wischer-was he the one arrested on drug charges in Kenton County or not?-and the mean-spirited, vile ancient crocodile-who does absolutely nothing but constantly spread hate and discontent-Mary Koenig are running for re-election to council. Beyond that, we don't know much else. We hope the voters have far better choices for city council-and that doesn't mean the disgusting husband of MARTIN CRONY-HIRE, FORTY-SEVEN AND A HALF DOLLARS PER TAXPAYER-FUNDED HOUR INCOMPETENT BOOKKEEPER CORDELIA SCHABER-Dale, who would only be running to protect his taxpayer-funded gravy train. It is a fact that Dale Schaber is a malicious meathead.
We also hope the mallet-headed Martin files for re-election. We want to have the great pleasure of knocking down each and every LIE the mendacious Martin will surely tell for out vast audience. Oh, what great fun it will be!
We also suspect that several potential Villa Hills candidates will head to the courthouse this coming Tuesday with their signed petitions and filing fees at the ready. Why? Because they plan to wait until the final minutes to see the actual size of the candidate field before filing their paperwork and parting with their money. When you think about that for more than ten seconds, that's a hell of a way to decide whether or not you want to run for the mayor's office or a seat on city council-to help a very troubled town.
Beginning Wednesday, August 13, we expect certain civic club directors to roll out their already-accidentally-announced smear campaign as well. Given these certain civic club "pots" checkered past, it will be highly entertaining to watch them falsely call any "kettles" black. Absolute jerk-offs.
We will also quickly learn where the "Don't Tread On Me" flag-waving liberty leaguers, cat-haters, St. Joker's Heavy Drinking Men's Society members and the "Jeeves, be a good man and pull the Bentley around" crowd fall in line this time. Most of these self-absorbed dimwits bought Martin's bull$#!t in 2010. Or, just thought it would be fun to elect Martin and then watch what happened. We aren't sure exactly what these pinheads will do in 2014.
We have also learned that an explosive packet of city checks, court papers, photos, deposition transcripts, legal bills, e-mails, Executive Orders, official correspondence and other damning documents has been printed and packaged for delivery to every single door in Villa Hills in the very late stages of the upcoming campaign. The purpose? To shine a very bright light on the true-and very ugly-extent of the malicious Martin's atrocious antics over the past four years.
What's next? An 83-day, mudslinging sprint to the finish line. The Martin Chronicles will be giving our vast audience-very soon to pass the quarter of a million visits threshold-a slime-by-slime report.

The Martin Chronicles truly thinks having a "Safety Night" at River Ridge Elementary School on Wednesday, August 6 could-repeat, could-have been a very good thing. Regrettably, Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin must have "masterminded" what turned out to be an embarrassing debacle.
There is a general principle in the "PR" world that goes something like this. "People rarely attend events they know nothing about". Most marketing people will tell you that putting out a few shoddy-at-best, chicken-scratch signs announcing an event won't draw much of a crowd. Ask anyone whose has sat alone in a lawn chair during four dismal hours of a yard sale just how well that stupid strategy works.
And yet, that is precisely how the mallet-headed Martin "promoted" the "Safety Night" event. That probably explains why less than ten people made their way to Martin's pathetic party Wednesday night.
Oh, it gets worse. Most likely hoping for a truly tasteless campaign opportunity, the malevolent Martin manned the grill, charring hot dogs beyond recognition. As one wag put it, "Martin sure knows how to illegally burn city documents, but he ain't worth a damn with a fine piece of meat". Another pundit said, "The little bastard can cook the city's books, but he doesn't know jack $#!t about cooking a wiener".
Considering the dismal fact that barely ten people attended "Safety Night", there are several boxes of excess wieners that went un-incinerated. Perhaps Martin will ask city council to vote to declare the excess wieners "surplus" so he can then purchase them for a dollar and incinerate them at his next clumsy campaign event.
The Martin Chronicles sincerely hopes that Martin's new police chief isn't too upset by the public's underwhelming enthusiasm for Martin's two abjectly-failed attempts to pull off a "Meet the New Police Chief" function. It's not the new police chief's fault that his boss is dumber than a brick. Good luck, you poor bastard.
There is something far more sinister that happened here, though. The mean-spirited Martin chose River Ridge Elementary School for this failed event for a very malicious reason.
You see, Martin knows that disgracefully-railroaded, former Police Chief Dan Goodenough poured his heart and soul in to helping the underprivileged children who attend River Ridge. Martin was desperately hoping for a spectacular, "in-your-face" event that would have served as a metaphor for "spitting on the grave" of the former police chief's Villa Hills career. The little liar will forevermore blame Goodenough and everybody but himself for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST. But-with eternal thanks to The Great Spirit-NO DICE.
You see, the malicious Martin is a passive-aggressive little prick. The miniature Mussolini is fine with the vapid fools who sing his praises, announcing that he does "great things for people". But if even one of those vapid fools dares to step out of line, Martin will have no remorse while calumniously cutting off their private parts with a rusty knife.

The Martin Chronicles has just learned that Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's unlicensed handyman business is doing work at a home on Riggs Avenue in Erlanger. Seemingly no big deal. Except that the home belongs to Villa Hills City Administrator/City Clerk Craigory Bohman.
Why do that? The people who contacted us are convinced that Bohman gave the misdirecting Martin the handyman job as some form of illicit payback for the taxpayer-funded 50% pay increase Martin gave Bohman a few months ago.
We aren't prepared to say that. But we are prepared to say that the arrangement is incredibly stupid. We know Martin is dumber than a brick. But we thought Craigory had at least a little more sense.
Why open yourself to even more suspicion? People already realize that Martin is devoid of integrity and incapable of telling the truth. But Bohman is looking everywhere for a new job.
Why risk getting tainted by Martin?
The Martin Chronicles has already exploded Martin's misdirecting campaign myth that the current budget-passed over the tiny tyrant's objections in June-spends $60,000 less than the budget he inherited in 2011. But let's ignore the proven fact that Martin is LYING about that.
Instead, let's do what the mendacious Martin himself would do. Let's totally ignore the truth and do something absolutely crazy. Let's take the little liar at his word.
Here's the REAL issue. It's not how much taxpayer money you spend. Instead, it's how you spend the taxpayers' money that is important. When you measure it the correct way, Martin is completely mismanaging the taxpayers money.
Martin is not spending taxpayer money on a properly staffed and equipped police department. Instead, Martin is wasting hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on lawyers and lawsuits to press his vendetta on the local police department's leadership.
Martin is not spending money adequately funding a real street repair and replacement program. Instead, Martin is-according to public statements of city councilmembers-wasting hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on the -by Martin's own admission-inadequate services of the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission.
Martin has spent somewhere in the ugly neighborhood of one half million taxpayer dollars on lawyers and legal actions. Instead of sitting down like a rational adult with former Police Chief to discuss an amicable-and far less costly to the taxpayers-path to parting ways, Martin chose to waste well over one hundred thousand taxpayer dollars to push out Goodenough at the end of an unnecessary, ugly, public spectacle.
Martin has spent more than one hundred thousand taxpayer dollars to a crony-hire, bucket-headed bookkeeper who has completely fouled-up the city's financial records.
Martin has spent more than twenty-three thousand taxpayer dollars signing a purchase order that cut a check that went right in to the diminutive dictator's pocket.
Martin has spent more than twelve thousand taxpayer dollars on playground equipment in a park almost no one ever uses.
So, it's not how MUCH taxpayer money Martin spends. It's HOW Martin spends taxpayer money that matters. Using that correct measurement, Martin has been an intentional disaster for the taxpayers.
Villa Hills can choose a mayor and council who will make the right spending choices in just 88 days.
The Martin Chronicles has talked to several "snitches" inside Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin's upcoming re-election campaign. These turncoats have been overtaken by a severe case of "conscience" and have given us an advance look at the public campaign the mendacious Martin is planning.
As one of the insiders put it, "If I wouldn't be running the risk of getting sued by Burger King, I'd personally put a neon sign over the City Building door that reads "HOME OF THE WHOPPER'. Sure, it comes as no surprise that Martin plans to lie. But it is still useful to get a preview of Martin's lies.
We've also talked to dozens of people-in-the-know who can put true perspective on Martin's upcoming deception. Yes, friends, The Martin Chronicles has done its homework once again.
Let's take a look at the preview we have been provided:
- Martin is going to crow about the undeniable fact that Villa Hills has deservedly been voted the best community in Northern Kentucky by the obscure publication Cincy Business Magazine.
- What Martin won't say is that the primary reason Villa Hills received that recognition is its proximity to Downtown Cincinnati and CVG. Why? Because even the dishonest Martin wouldn't dare try to take credit for that.
- Martin will claim that he is some kind of budget hawk because the recent city budget is allegedly $60,000 less than the budget he inherited in 2011.
- What Martin will never say is that the 2010 city council approved taking nearly $200,000 out of the city's cash reserves to fund much-needed, major street repairs. Why is that important? Because that fact clearly proves Martin's current budget is actually almost $150,000 dollars MORE than the budget the diminutive dictator inherited in 2011. Martin will also avoid mentioning that not only did he walk away from his solemn 2010 pledge to repeal the UNFAIR $40 PER CAR STICKER TAX-he also increased the SNEAKY INSURANCE PREMIUM TAX BY ALMOST FIFTY PERCENT.
- Martin will claim that his "courageous" decision to hire the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (NKAPC) to do building inspection work put people in place who are trained to do such work.
- What Martin will desperately avoid saying is that-according to public statements made by current councilmembers-the taxpayers are being walloped for MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR FOR THE NKAPC SERVICES. Martin will also tap dance around the fact that he has had to hire a "nuisance officer" to fill in the gaps created by the building inspection work of the NKAPC.
- Martin will make the incredibly dishonest claim that he has increased the size of the Villa Hills Police Department by fifty percent.
- What Martin will run away from like a scalded cat is that he is counting bodies, not hours covered. Sure, if you have a bunch of part-timers, you have more bodies. But you still don't have more hours. Its an undeniable fact that Martin has decimated the local police department. Another undeniable fact is that the decimation occurred because Martin wanted revenge for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST.
So, these are the terrible lies Martin plans to tell in a desperate attempt to cling to the power of the mayor's office. No surprises here. Why?
Because Martin is a very accomplished liar.

The subject? The recent budget unanimously passed by council that pushed back the mismanaging Martin's effort to pass what the tiny tyrant described as a "bottom line" budget. Why? Martin wanted completely unfettered authority to spend more than 3 million taxpayer dollars in any way the diminutive dictator chose.
Given the misspending Martin's penchant to waste hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on lawyers and legal actions, city council was correct to insist on retaining its right of oversight over the budget. But, these well-placed legal observers think Martin may have sidestepped city council's vote anyway.
How? Well, Kentucky law requires each governmental entity to publish the budget in what is described as the newspaper of record. It is taxpayer money being collected and spent, after all.
So, what has Martin done to "satisfy" that Kentucky law? He has published a "bottom line" budget. That presents a potential problem for the taxpayers.
The expert legal observers who contacted us tell us that the published budget is considered the document that legally binds a government entity's collection and disbursement of taxpayer dollars. Any other documents outlining the expenditures of each department are really nothing more than scraps of paper-if they are not published.
Yeah, yeah, yeah we know how the mendacious Martin will explain his decision to publish only a "bottom line" budget. He'll claim he did it to save taxpayer money. He'll claim it would be far too expensive to pay to publish the entire budget. What will we say to that explanation? Blah, blah, blah.
Why will we hold that explanation is such contempt? Because quite simply, it will be total bu!!$#it.
Despite his wild claim that he runs a "tight ship", Martin has a well-documented track record of profligate waste of taxpayer money:
- Martin has misused nearly a half a million taxpayer dollars on ridiculous waste on lawyers and legal actions.
- Martin has mishandled the taxpayers money that he has wasted several hundred thousand taxpayer dollars amending his budgets every single year.
- Martin has squandered roughly three hundred thousand dollars wasted on unnecessary employee overtime expenses.
- Some on council have publically announced that Martin is spending more than two hundred thousand taxpayer dollars a year to hire the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission to provide building and zoning services. Despite this wasteful move, Martin has also had to hire a "nuisance officer" to fill gaps in enforcement.
- Martin pushed forward his vendetta against the Villa Hills Police Department by paying former Chief Dan Goodenough one hundred and twenty thousand taxpayer dollars to retire. This only after Martin wasted tens of thousands of dollars in lawyers and legal fees in his vicious attempt to publicly embarrass Goodenough in March of this year.
- Martin inexplicably signed a purchase order that put twenty-three thousand taxpayer dollars in his own pocket.
- Martin frittered away more than twelve thousand taxpayer dollars purchasing playground equipment for a park that almost nobody uses.
No, Martin has once again shown complete contempt for the city council who is legally tasked with oversight of the city budget. The miniature mullah published a "bottom line" budget so that he can spend taxpayer money any way he wants to.
Yes, council can still question Martin's spending. But that will accomplish absolutely nothing. Why? Because Martin will simply rely on the game of "keep-a-way" he has used to fend off council budget questions since January 1, 2011.
How will it go yet again?:
- Someone on city council will question a particular expenditure at a public council meeting.
- Martin will tell that councilperson that he isn't quite sure, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee. The little liar will then advise that councilperson to should check with his FORTY-SEVEN TAXPAYER DOLLAR PER HOUR UNQUALIFIED BOOKEEPER, Cordelia Schaber about the expenditure.
- That councilperson will contact the bucket-headed bookkeeper, Cordelia Schaber. Schaber will tell that councilperson that she cay-uhn't answer their question. She will tell that councilperson that they have to speak directly to Martin.
- That councilperson will be totally unable to reach the evasive Martin. He is terribly busy running his unlicensed handyman business, after all.
- That councilperson will re-contact the shiftless Schaber, only to be rudely told, "Ahh told yee-ou thayat yee-ou have to ayask Mayor Martin about thayat."
- That councilperson will re-ask Martin the same question at the next council meeting. Martin will once again say that he isn't quite sure, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee. The little liar will tell that councilperson that he will check with his FORTY-SEVEN TAXPAYER DOLLAR PER HOUR UNQUALIFIED BOOKKEEPER, Cordelia Schaber himself about the expenditure. Martin will promise to provide the answer at the next council meeting.
- When that councilperson asks the same question at the third council meeting, Martin will claim that he has just been so busy that he didn't find time to get the answer. Martin will then promise to get the answer before the fourth council meeting.
- No answer will ever come. And so it goes.
There is an opportunity to put an end to all of this ridiculous waste. There is opportunity to put an end to Martin's abject waste of taxpayer money and his continual lies about that waste.
That opportunity comes in just 91 days.
