The Martin Chronicles has been digesting the information Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin announced at last week's City Council meeting. Yes, Martin missed his self-imposed "ten day" deadline to announce the settlement reached to railroad long-serving-and-hugely-popular-Police Chief Dan Goodenough out of his job. In point of fact, the misdirecting Martin missed that self-imposed "ten day" deadline by nearly TWO FULL MONTHS.
So what have we finally learned? We have learned that Martin spent ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND TAXPAYER DOLLARS to finish his vendetta against the police department he wrong-headedly blames for his 2007 FORGERY ARREST. Please keep in mind that the ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND TAXPAYER DOLLARS does not include one penny of-sure-to-be-exorbitant-legal fees from Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry.
The worst part of Martin's incredible WASTE OF TAXPAYER MONEY? It didn't have to happen. Think back to the costly and embarrassing "show trial" Martin held only to attempt to publicly disgrace Goodenough. That "show trial" was all the evidence any clear-thinking person needs to understand the vicious and vengeful nature of the diminutive dictator Martin.
The most disgraceful part of the disgraceful "show trial"? Martin took the witness stand and admitted that he had never once sat down with Goodenough to discuss his concerns. Not a single, solitary time over a period of more than three, dreadful years. Zip, nada, zero.
Martin's stupefyingly lame explanation? Well, the mismanaging Martin claimed he was just too busy running his unlicensed handyman business to sit down with Goodenough to deal with issues that ultimately led to the embarrassing, March public spectacle.
The meat-headed Martin went on to complain that he only gets paid $200 a month for his mayor gig. He just didn't have time to talk with the Police Chief. Seriously? He's kidding, right? Hey, given the terrible mess Martin has created over the past three and a half years, we are convinced the miniature mullah is overpaid by that same $200 a month.
What a disgraceful statement of stupidity.
