Burnin' Up The Charts!

While there is absolutely nothing funny about Mayor Martin’s antics of burning City documents on Thursday, we here at The Martin Chronicles must pause to laugh or we will simply combust!
Legend has it that Nero played the fiddle as Rome burned. Centuries later, technology is such that we now have iPods. That made us wonder what tunes Mayor Martin would have on his. We came up with what we think would be his Top Ten. We’ll present them to you Kasey Kasem-style. They are smokin’!
10.   Theme from Chariots of Fire
  9. The Heat is On
  8. A Hot Time In The Old Town
  7. Ring of Fire
  6. I Didn’t Start the Fire (A variation of Billy Joe’s We Didn’t Start the Fire)
  5. You Light Up My Documents (In honor of the 70’s Debby Boone monster hit)
  4. Come On Buck, Light My Fire (A rare Jim Morrison bootleg recording)
  3. Computer Disk-O Inferno (Who could forget Disco Inferno?)
  2. Goodness Gracious City Documents On Fire (Performed by Jerry, not Jerry Lee)
And now, The Number One Hit burning up the charts of Mayor Martin’s iPod.
1. Someone’s Chestnuts Should Be Roasting on an Open Fire (Ah, Johnny Mathis!)
Martin is going to have a tough time dancing his way out of this mess. But twist and tap dance he surely will. We think he may even best Michael Flatley’s Feet of Flames!
All we can say is NO sMORE’s!!!!!!
