Grist For The (Rumor) Mill

The Martin Chronicles is talking to its many Kenton County Courthouse sources to confirm the recent rumor that County Judge Executive Steve Arlinghaus and County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Steve Hensley are pushing very hard for Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin to appoint current Cold Spring Police Chief Ed Burke to Dan Goodenough's old job. Hey, wait a minute. Didn't the misdirecting Martin tell everyone that Goodenough was "just taking a few days off". Oh, that's right. That was several Martin LIES ago. Sometimes its hard to keep up with the tiny tyrant's LIES.

Another rumor has been making its way around Martin's troubled town. Namely that a Kenton County Sheriff's Deputy has been seen napping in his cruiser by residents of Kenridge Drive. Townsfolk shouldn't really be too upset if that rumor is true. Provided of course that they aren't being billed any overtime for the cat-napping crime fighter.

We are looking in to persistent rumors that another package of documents from a different anonymous concerned citizen has been sent to the State Auditor's Office. The contents of this package? Documents that are supposed to clearly prove that legal bills from Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry (of the real estate law firm of Gerner and Kearns) for services provided during Martin's October, 2012 removal hearing total to less than the $23,262.74 "reimbursement" check Martin authorized as payable to himself.

The Martin Chronicles is also pouring over the City's "redacted" financial reports, trying to confirm the latest buzz that Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry (of the real estate law firm Gerner and Kearns) is "billing the taxpayers thousands of dollars for code enforcement work". Layer on to that staggering figure the $215,000 a current Councilmember says the taxpayers are forking over to the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (NKAPC) for code enforcement services and it amounts to a costly mess.

And it can't be about Martin's claim that he made the move to provide "better service" either. Why? Because Martin, Mary Koenig and others continue to push to waste even more taxpayer money to hire a "nuisance officer" to fill the gaps left by the NKAPC service. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.

We are also looking in to the gossip making the rounds that a current Councilman had a relative write the early 2013, Martin-signed Municipal Order designed to sick the FBI on former Assistant Chief Joe Schutzman. If there is any substance to this rumor, it sure has the makings of a conscious conspiracy to destroy the local police department by means of harassment and intimidation.

We are also investigating allegations that Martin is directing the social networking efforts to FALSELY brand groups like the "Sensible Citizens" as "movements of hatred". Why would Martin do that? All you have to do is look at the miniature mullah's 2010 and 2012 election playbooks.

In both instances, the misdirecting Martin craftily created a FALSE image of himself as a "good government zealot" beleaguered by "dark forces" to divert attention away from the facts that he did sign his deceased mother's name on his deceased mother's checks, cashed them and pocketed the proceeds, was suing the taxpayers of Villa Hills for $1.505 MILLION, was always planning to disband the local police department, did receive a CONFIDENTIAL REPRIMAND FROM THE VILLA HILLS ETHICS BOARD FOR HIS WANTON MISUSE OF CITY PERSONNEL AND RESOURCESwas warned by a respected judge from her bench to stop his ILLEGAL DESTRUCTION OF CITY RECORDSwas CONVICTED ON SEVEN OF NINE COUNTS OF OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT AND NEGLECT OF DUTY. and a whole lot more.

While we have very little "skin in the game", we aren't going to just sit back and let Martin and his willing accomplices FALSELY smear groups like the "Sensible Citizens" without some pushback. Geez, we hate guys like that. Wherever they are.

Groups like the "Sensible Citizens" have every right to work for a better City Government than they have now. Hell, that won't be hard to do. Why? Because Martin's current City Government is a corrupt and incompetent cesspool.

We'll know how successful these opposition groups have been in about 215 days.
