The Martin Chronicles has obtained emails that challenge Villa Hills Mayor Mike Martin's legal ability to willy-nilly begin to lay off City employees in his desperate attempt to save "his wife's (?) house".
We are confident that the mayor is still focused on wasteful spending items like a frivolous parade to "celebrate" the City's 50-year Anniversary while still holding the threat of lay-off over the heads of City employees who are tasked with cleaning up the colossal mess Martin continues to create.
These emails also confirm that Martin has legal counsel exploring a way for him to circumvent the City's Civil Service ordinance to make hard-working, honest employees pay a steep price for the bumbling mayor's incompetence and mismanagement.
The mayor also appears to be foolish enough to believe that the employees are not aware of his terrible plan. This despite the fact that Martin openly discussed lay-offs at the March council meeting.
The Martin Chronicles plans to explore these despicable developments this weekend. We hope that the residents of Villa Hills are not as happy as mayoral spouse Janet Martin seems to believe they are in here disgusting, libelous letter-to-the-editor that appeared this week.
