WEEKENDER: One Month Later

The Martin Chronicles has been covering now-outgoing Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin for a long time now. We we're studying the little fella long before we launched our pesky little blog on October 8, 2011. We've now posted 1,148 stories about the rampant corruption and incompetence of Martin's terrible Reign of Error. We have welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors to our site. The Martin Chronicles has truly enjoyed revealing the many, many reasons why Martin has been a dreadful, dishonest disgrace.

You know, we do get a great deal of satisfaction out of playing at least a small role in Martin's unprecedented 84% - 16% ass-whuppin' one month ago. Martin was trounced at every polling precinct. The voters delivered an unambiguous message that they had long since grown tired of Martin's dishonesty, cronyism and abject mismanagement of their tax dollars.

• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to tell the full story of the Martin's Mis-Administration's total disregard for Kentucky's Open Record's Statutes.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to describe Martin's devious plan to ram a huge road tax down the residents' throats in 2011.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to call out  Martin's crony hire of a close pal and misspending $47.50 per tax payer funded hour for her terrible "accounting" work.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to call out The Villa Hills Ethics Board and its despicable former chairmen for their deceitful efforts to sweep Martin's corruption under the rug.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to reveal Martin's devious plan to disband the local police department and unfairly discredit its former leadership.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to report Martin's illegal destruction of City Records (the infamous "records barbecue) in early 2012.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to report the underhanded deal Martin cut with former councilmembers Pope and Noll to gain their "no" votes at the little fella's October, 2012 removal hearing.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to report Martin's hiring of his personal attorney to serve as the taxpayer-funded City Attorney.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we were the first to report Martin's signing of a purchase order that put more than $23,000 in his personal pocket.
• The Martin Chronicles is proud of the fact that we broke 2014 Election coverage first and most accurately beginning as far back as May, 2014 when (1) we revealed the civic club asshats plan to smear any potential Martin opponents, (2) we called out Martin's game plan of nasty negativity, (3) we caught Martin misusing taxpayer money and resources to mail out a political propaganda piece, (4) we accurately described Martin's laughable "moving the city forward" campaign for the hypocrisy it was, (5) we identified the treachery of "The Martin Five", (6) we called out the loony social networkers' internet nonsense and (7) we were the first to break the happy news of Martin's crushing defeat on November 4.  

Other things just made us laugh.

• The Martin Chronicles continues to wear as a badge of honor the fact that numbskulls who were directly responsible for the unleashing of Martin's lawlessness describing the little fella as a mayor who "does great things for people".
• The Martin Chronicles continues to wear as a badge of honor the fact that various vacuous social network posters describe us as "vile" and "disgusting" when those terms perfectly describe their hero Martin.
• The Martin Chronicles continues to wear as a badge of honor the fact that Martin's personal-and now City-Attorney Toad V. McMurtry wasted huge sums of taxpayer money improperly trying to find us.
• The Martin Chronicles continues to wear as a badge of honor the hilarious fact that sole-holdover 2015 Councilmember Mary Koenig simultaneously denied and admitted to reading our blog in a moment of beautiful frustration.

We now have solid sources telling us that Martin sycophants Mary Koenig and Jennifer Yost-Vaden have made it quite clear that they are going to continue to carry the little fella's water while he waits in exile. So much for "moving the city forward".

We'll be watching very closely.
