It's Almost Over!!!!!!!

The Martin Chronicles beloved publisher is throwing an epic party in our palatial offices. We have a renowned chef serving up incredible foods. We are also enjoying a wide open bar that is being assaulted by a hard-working staff that is trying to sample every adult beverage imaginable.

Why so much revelry? Because Mike Martin is just a couple of hours away from leaving the mayor's office-at least for now-after suffering an unprecedented ass-whuppin' in the last election. How absolutely great is that?

• We all hope that "the Martin era of corrupt and incompetent government" is just a couple of hours away from being over for good.
• We all hope that Mike Martin will, in just a couple of hours, finally decide to simply get on with his life and leave his "controversial" past behind him.
• We all hope that the losers in last November's election will accept the will of the voters and decide to do the right thing.
• We all hope that the next several years will be ones of peace, quiet and progress in the tiny little burg of Villa Hills.

But that doesn't mean we plan to go away.
