The Martin Chronicles wonders if many of our readers realize that this is the final Sunday of Villa Hills malfeasant "Mayor" Mike Martin's Reign of Error (2011-2014 edition). Brothers and Sisters, its almost over. Can we have an "AMEN"!
Mike Martin will soon be out the door. His final day in the mayor's office (at least for now) is December 31, 2014. The Martin Chronicles is planning to have reporters and photographers on hand to record the final moments of Martin's terrible 2011-2014 Administration. We fully expect to take photos of Martin finally leaving the City Building at 23:59:59 (military time).
Our reporters are even hoping to get some final comments from the malfeasant "Mayor" Martin. We expect the final comments will be things like, "They just didn't understand how I was trying to help them", "I didn't know it was wrong then, but I know it was wrong now", "No one would ever work with me." and "I was the CEO, it was my decision. It was time to move on. Now I have to get over it". Any way it goes, we can't wait!
Our reporters have spent a good deal of their time since November 4 talking to many people who interacted with "Mayor" Martin over the past four years. Our conclusion? Virtually everyone outside the city limits of Villa Hills had the little fella correctly sized up long before a majority of people inside the city limits did.
Several City vendors deeply dislike Martin. These vendors were tired of what they described as Martin's "ridiculous demands". As one vendor put it, "We always gave Villa Hills a fair price for our services. Even still, that little jerk wanted to nickel and dime us to death over the dumbest things. It was ridiculous. Martin is ridiculous. The things he demanded that we do actually ended up costing the taxpayers more money. What an idiot."
Another vendor described how Martin wanted him to falsify a document to make the tiny tyrant look good. "Hey, I run an honest business. It wasn't my job to pull Martin's chestnuts out of the fire. He clearly misrepresented the things we told him. No way. No how. He should have just told the truth."
Elected officials from several other Cities also hold Martin in low regard. Several had no problem telling our reporters what they really felt.
One official regularly interacted with Martin at the Kenton County Mayor's Group meetings. He said, "I've never dealt with a person like Martin before. He offered up the craziest suggestions, always thinking he was the smartest person in the room. What a joke. What in God's name were the voters in Villa Hills thinking when they elected that crooked dumbass?"
Another official laughed as he described the way the other members of the Kenton County Mayor's Group would make fun of Martin and his pal, Park Hills' Mayor Don Catchen. "It was hilarious. Everyone would take shots at Martin and Catchen. Neither one of them ever figured it out. It was very weird. Most of the time they actually laughed along with us. Martin can't be that stupid, can he?"
Members of the local dinosaur media also had Martin's number. Sure, it took longer than it should have. But they did figure Martin out long before the majority of Villa Hills voters did.
One local reporter said, "I'll never forget the last night of Martin's removal hearing in 2012. As I recall, the guy had just been convicted on seven of nine counts of official misconduct and neglect of duty. Two members of that council were obviously friends of Martin who voted against removing him. Martin hugged his wife and walked up to the cameras saying he had been "vindicated". Man, that was one strange press conference. Martin is a real oddball."
Another local reporter told us, "I always hated talking with Martin. He never told me the truth. Martin always believed that any good thing that happened was only because of him and everything bad was a plot hatched by people who were out to get him. I think he has serious problems."
Yet another local reporter said, "I've dealt with hundreds of politicians over the years. But I have never met anybody who is more comfortable with his lies than Mike Martin. Honestly, it was disgusting. He would tell us the truth when he was off the record and then lie to my cameras. It was fun to cover in the beginning. I finally got to the point where I dreaded getting a comment from him."
There won't be too many more comments coming from "Mayor" Martin.
