Monday Montage

The Martin Chronicles reporters returned to the office tired, wet and a little cold late today. So, our beloved publisher served up some great hot chow and hardy cups of Irish coffee for the entire crew. Then the debriefing began.

Amsterdam Village residents are frothing about the fact that now-outgoing Villa Hills malfeasant Mayor Mike Martin and now-outgoing Councilmember and Administration Committee Chairman Brian Wischer never replaced the historic sign at the entrance to their community. This despite the fact that both now-outgoing elected officials beat their chests bragging about bilking $15,000 from an insurance company many, many, many, many, many months ago to replace that damaged historic sign. What's up with that?

Many Villa Hills residents are deeply concerned about rumors criss-crossing their town that re-elected Councilwoman Mary Koenig is already stirring up serious-and potentially very costly-trouble for the new administration that will finally run that rat Martin out of the mayor's office at 12 am on January 1, 2015. But what should anyone expect from Koenig. She was first elected to council in the last century (1989) and has since developed a consistent track record of tumult, chaos and uncertainty. Keep your fingers crossed.

There is a great deal of chatter about what will actually happen to Martin in the months ahead. It is now common knowledge amongst the citizenry that the-soon-to-be-former-diminutive dictator was informed in October, 2013 that the taxpayer-funded City insurance won't pay for damages that may very well arise from the lawsuits generated by his LIBEL, SLANDER, DEFAMATION and HARRASSMENT. Altogether now, "INTENTIONAL ACTS".

A huge number of townsfolk are very unhappy that their-tremendously-overpaid-by-the-taxpayers-City Administrator/City Clerk Craigory T. Bohman is very likely to stay on the taxpayer-funded payroll after January 1, 2015. Is this another case of Mary Koenig's infamous plan to "pick his brain and then get rid of him"? We actually hope so in this tawdry case. We agree with the avalanche of residents who wonder why an experienced, retired septuagenarian Mayor-elect Callery-who has nothing but time on his hands-doesn't think he can handle the day-to-day administrative functions of a tiny City like Villa Hills. Why waste even more money on the incredibly controversial Bohman?

A huge number of people are belly-laughing about the pathetic Martin's empty, post-election lament that he "was never given a chance to show what he could really do". Twelve different councilmembers over his dreadful four year term? Two City Attorneys? Two Police Chiefs? Fifteen Police Officers for what should be an eight member department? Three City Clerks? A City Administrator that Martin once railed wasn't necessary and a waste of taxpayer money? At least Eight different Administrative personnel? Martin has been a pathetic and costly-to-the taxpayers' joke over these past four, dreadful years.

Just three hours and 23 minutes more than 23 dreadful days to go until Martin is finally gone.
