We have once again poured over the campaign materials from Martin's dirtbag 2010 mayoral campaign. Setting aside all of the now obvious libel and defamation his licentious literature contained, one outrageous claim related to this current, sordid turn of events stands out like the proverbial "sore thumb". And that would be? That the mendacious Martin would bring more "transparency" to the mayor's office. Yes, that was clearly a sly Martin-created hoax built upon another Martin-created hoax.
What was Martin's excuse for declining the request council made to publish the legal expense spreadsheet on the City website? That is the stuff of legend. The dark-souled Martin claimed he did some "soul searching" and decided not to post the information because "no other City does that". Oh, brother.
One long-time Villa Hills resident who pays very close attention to politics had some insightful observations on Martin's specious announcement.
"Seriously? That's the best excuse that lying piece of s#!t Martin can come up with for not letting the residents see the c&*p he's trying to pull? Well, I doubt if any other City has their mayor's personal attorney serving as the taxpayer-funded City Attorney. I doubt if any other City Clerk stands accused of participating in a conspiracy with the mayor and 'others yet unknown' to libel, slander, defame, harass and intimidate a City employee. I doubt if any other mayor has spent the last three years hiding the true state of their City's financial condition from the council-and more importantly-the residents."
Phew! The Martin Chronicles has spent enough time covering the events In Villa Hills to strongly conclude that Martin is nothing more than an incompetent crook who couldn't effectively manage a child's lemonade stand. But we doubt even we would have put our assessment of Martin's refusal to tell the truth about his abject waste of taxpayer money on legal fees in those exquisite words. Not that we disagree. In fact, we are probably more than a little bit jealous that we didn't say it first.
Others speculate that Martin intentionally triggered the most recent lawsuit filed against him-where he stands accused of an intentional campaign of libel, slander, defamation, harassment and intimidation against a City employee from the mayor's office-to create a situation where the taxpayers are forced to pony up the huge amount of money that will be required to bail him out of the terrible personal mess he has been creating now for several years. Given the exposure the mendacious Martin faces, that makes more than a little bit of sense. Here's the good news.
The double-dealing Martin stands for re-election in just 297 days.
