We
are working to confirm the details of the complaint that our sources tell us
was filed just today. It is not clear just how much exposure the taxpayers will
have in this latest Martin-generated mess. We do know from what our sources told us back in October, 2013 that
the insurance carrier for the City of Villa Hills has lost patience for the
costly legal entanglements that have been created by Martin’s intentional acts.
Other
sources are telling us that there is also a strong likelihood that other
members of Martin’s “team” may soon also be facing their own difficult legal
problems. While we have frequently reported on “the usual suspects”, our
investigative reporters will have to spend a lot more time digging before we’re
prepared to speculate on exactly who these other members might be.
The
Martin Chronicles has also learned that a complaint has been filed against
Villa Hills City Clerk Craig T. Bohman for “harassment, retaliation and
intimidation” against Assistant Police Chief Joe Schutzman, in part resulting
from Open Records requests Bohman recently mailed to Police Chief Dan
Goodenough. What is so odd about this is that it is Villa Hills City Clerk
Craig T. Bohman himself who is-as clearly
defined by State statute-officially designated as the City’s “custodian of
records”.
Given
this official State designation, wouldn’t it make perfect sense for Chief
Goodenough to simply hand over City Clerk Craig T. Bohman’s request to City Clerk Craig T. Bohman to handle City
Clerk Craig T. Bohman’s own Open
Records requests? If it all seems strange to you, don’t worry. You are not
alone.
The
complaint further alleges that City Clerk Craig T. Bohman is participating in a
conspiracy with Villa Hills’ miscreant Mayor Mike Martin and “others yet
unknown” to “discredit Assistant Chief Joe Schutzman . . . to create a false
and negative light on Assistant Chief Joe Schutzman’s job performance and make
it impossible for him to perform his job as a police officer”. City Clerk Craig
T. Bohman also stands accused of violating multiple sections of the City of
Villa Hills Employee Policy Manual. There is much more that we will be reporting
to you about this complaint. Serious stuff to be sure.
Let’s
suppose we decided to create a diagram of this unseemly web of defamation. Let’s
visualize an illustration designed to link together the pieces of this conspiracy.
Let’s imagine we decided to put together
a chart connecting the dots and creating a timeline for why Villa Hills now
finds itself mired in a more-than-three-year-long-mess.
Who do you think would reside dead-smack
in the center of this indecorous mess?
