Look, we aren't saying Martin is smart. In fact, we know he's dumber than a wheelbarrow full of broken bricks. But for all his shortcomings-and they are legion-Martin is a WORLD-CLASS CON MAN. The events of the last twenty-nine months provide more than enough proof of that.
For all those patsies who are foolish enough to believe even one word that comes out of Martin's crooked mouth, you will have earned whatever you get. This kabuki dance about public hearings and resident input is just that. It's nothing more than another Martin CON JOB. Sadly, some of the naive folks who are sitting around the council table that are extending "trust" and "patience" to the misappropriating Martin are going to drag the entire City even further down with them.
So anyway, our beloved publisher stormed in to the office about 5am chewing railroad spikes in half. Why? He said he made the mistake of watching less than ten minutes of the Villa Hills April council meeting replay and "almost pulled an Elvis and shot my television!"
Then the rant began.
"Who in the (EXPLETIVE) thought it was a good idea to put that hag Mary Koenig back on council?!?! If there is a nastier necromancer on this planet I have yet to meet her!"
"What rock did they flip over to find that goofball Rod Baehner? He says there's a lot of (intellectual) 'firepower' around that council table? What a self-serving Bozo! What the (EXPLETIVE)! Martin? Holly Boo Boo? Brian R. Puff-n-stuff? Toad McMurtry? Peeping Tom Bohman? Seriously? What planet is this Baehner guy from? Wherever it is will he please go the (EXPLETIVE) back!
"I hate to say this. Everbody says Jim Cahill is a nice, generous guy. But what the (EXPLETIVE)? He thinks just because Martin says he'll come to council before he moves ahead with "outsourcing" that Martin really will? Seriously? What the (EXPLETIVE) is wrong with Cahill? He knows Martin! He has to know that Martin is lying. Doesn't he care? Is Cahill really the limp-wristed wimp that people are beginning to say he is? Hold Martin's feet to the fire? Who in their right mind thinks Martin gives a (EXPLETIVE)?
"Martin is a genuine CON MAN. Have you ever noticed just how many (EXPLETIVE) times the little skunk uses the 'I just-got the information-made the phone call-talked to them-went there-what-the-(EXPLETIVE)-ever-TODAY?!?! And people still believe his BULL(EXPLETIVE) Really? Then, a month later he will deny ever saying whatever-the-(EXPLETIVE) he said or tell you that you misunderstood him. What the (EXPLETIVE)?!?!"
Then our publisher poured a cup of coffee, "sweetened" his cup with some bourbon and shuffled in to his office muttering something about, "ROSEBUD".
