So what is going on now? Well, for many days media outlets have been reporting that the agenda for tonight's Villa Hills special meeting includes the largest tax hike allowed by State statute, an executive session and a vote to schedule a removal hearing for the miscreant Martin. Oh yeah, and adjournment.
We know you are waiting. Just hold on. So Martin sends out an email to council yesterday at 6:14pm. It reads:
The Agenda for tomorrow nights special meeting was posted with my approval.
Attached please find a copy of the approved and posted agenda.
Notoriously absent from the agenda that the Little Man From Norwood approved? You guessed it. The executive session and the vote to schedule a removal hearing. Well isn't that something? It calls to mind Richard Nixon's famous "Midnight Massacre" when the soon-to-be-former President fired all the Justice Department people who were investigating the Watergate break-in. Wow!
Sources tell us that council members were understandably outraged by Martin's brazen abuse of power. One of our reporters went to the City Building late last evening and saw two different agendas posted on the door. One with the executive session and vote to schedule a removal hearing. And then the one Martin changed. Again, Wow!
So why did Martin do it? There are a couple of theories being vetted as we write.
First, Martin made a Machiavellian, calculated move to enrage the City Council on purpose. Why would Shorty do that? To show all the hand-wringers and vine-swingers just how mean and nasty those council guys have been to the mendacious Little CEO. Our publisher sees a major flaw in that theory. Martin is just too plain STUPID to come up with such a plan.
More likely, Martin took this wanton step because of the judge's recent ruling that stripped Mr. Shoddy-At-Best of taxpayer-funded legal representation. So, the Little Fella is desperately trying to run out the clock while he awaits the election of:
- Co-defendant in a LIBEL, SLANDER and DEFAMATION lawsuit Dale Schaber
- Author of the 1990's Steve Clark era, Mary Koenig
- Bitter critic of the police department Holly B. Isenhour-Menninger and,
- Unrepentent Martinite Brian Wischer.
But we do know this. It will sure be fun to watch!
